On New Girl Season 4 Episode 3, Bob Day came to visit with another New Girl - his much younger girlfriend - which made for plenty of tension with Jess.

Awkward, downright adorkable tension, it goes without saying.

New Girl Season 4 Episode 3 was titled “Julie Berkman’s Older Sister.” Also known as Trashy Ashley, played by Kaitlin Olson of It's Always Sunny fame.

Jess tells Cece, before finding out who her dad is dating, that this time she plans on being super nide to his new girlfriend, no matter who she is.

That's when Trashy Ashley appears, right on hilarious cue.

Cece and Jess retreat to her room to freak out, reminiscing about her legendary sexual antics and generally wondering just how her dad ended up with her.

The other storyline you'll see when you watch New Girl online this week involves Schmidt and his idea notebook, also known as Nick's napkin.

The Case of the Week wasn't all that enthralling on NCIS Season 12 Episode 2.

It centered on a murderer lieutenant was on his way to visit his basketball buddy... the President of the United States.

This connection, as you might expect, forced Gibbs and company to work especially hard (and covert) in order to determine the killer and whether or not POTUS was in danger.

In the end, however, the resolution was fairly anti-climactic: there were some government secrets involved... a company that yearned to keep everything quiet... and a company manager who was willing to commit homicide to ensure all remained hush-hush.

There was some misdirection involving a mugger, but it wasn't difficult to determine that the company CEO was involved as soon as we met him.

So this aspect of the episode was a bit boring and very predictable.

A familiar face returned to Kim of Queens Season 2 Episode 3 Tuesday night, making for a noteworthy appearance (and episode) on a number of levels.

Kim of Queens Season 2 Episode 3 came on the heels of an episode that featured Allisyn going behind Kim's back, and in which Katniss appeared.

Okay, not really, but Kim took on a tomboy client, with a bow and arrow in tow, Hunger Games style making us think that we had seen it all officially.

Until Kim faced two new challenges on this week's show:

Venus Van... DAMN!

That was quite the ending to Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 4, wasn't it?

Following a couple weeks plotting and scheming against those he (wrongly) believes murdered Tara, Jax Teller saw his chickens come home to root at the conclusion of this intense hour.

And by "chicken," we mean employees at Diosa. And by "roost," we mean countless corpses were left covered in blood and brain matter as a result of an attack by Lin's people.

It was heartbreaking to watch, partly because we've grown attached to women there such as Collette; partly because (ironically) this was meant to be SAMCRO's clean business; and largely due to the reaction of Nero.

19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 8 saw the Duggar girls go glam, in preparation for Jill's big wedding, which on the show is just six weeks away.

What did this endeavor entail for members of the enormous Arkansas family?

For Jill Duggar, it meant selecting five bridesmaids and one very special Maid of Honor. No, it wasn't Jessa Duggar ... but their older sister, Jana Duggar!

Their first stop was a hair salon, to try out some different hairstyles and makeup in preparation for the big day. Did we mention it's just six weeks out?!

Jill is far from a bridezilla, of course, in keeping with her humble and modest roots, and Derick Dillard reveals he likes her her best natural and curly.

Yup, their heads are in the right places, 1,000-person wedding and all.

That's not to say the Duggars don't look amazing with their hair and makeup done on 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 8. They really do.

It’s a lesson that real-life folks such as Kim Kardashian may never realize, but being Friended is not the same as having actual friends. Remember that, people.

ABC started to tell a Manhattan Love Story tonight.

The new sitcom tells a dating tale from two perspectives, that of Analeigh Tipton’s Dana and that of Jake McDorman’s Peter, as viewers were let in on the inner most thoughts of a man and a woman, only to basically realize:

Earlier this week, Walmart claimed in official federal court documents that Tracy Morgan is largely to blame for the horrific June accident that put him in the hospital and which killed good friend James McNair.

The company argues that the fatal incident was caused "in whole or in part" by Morgan and McNair's "failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device."

Now, in response to that assertion, Morgan has released a new statement that can be boiled down to a single word:

"After I heard what Walmart said in court I felt I had to speak out," Morgan says. "I can’t believe Walmart is blaming me for an accident that they caused. My friends and I were doing nothing wrong. I want to thank my fans for sticking with me during this difficult time. I love you all. I’m fighting hard every day to get back."

Lynn and Rick Bynes seem pretty in the dark about the fact that their troubled daughter Amanda Bynes got arrested for DUI early Sunday morning.

In fact, they found out no sooner than we did ... if not later.

Amanda was stopped by police in Van Nuys, Calif., high on Adderall and off her medication for schizophrenia and bipolarity, which she denies she has.

Her folks apparently think she's fully recovered from her meltdown last year, too, because the couple recently declined to renew their conservatorship.

That gave Rick and Lynn full control over Amanda's comings and goings, as well as all her medical, legal and financial decisions, for the past year.

Once it lapsed, though, they just let, believing Amanda does not actually suffer from mental illnesses and is fine on her own. Right on cue, she moved out.

Soon enough, she got her own place ... and failed out of fashion school. Rick and Lynn? They have no idea where she is or what she's been doing.

Eighteen-time gold medalist Michael Phelps was arrested for DUI around 2 am on Tuesday morning after being pulled over for going 84 in a 45 MPH zone.

Phelps addressed the incident on Twitter today:

"Earlier this morning I was arrested and charged with DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lane lines," Phelps tweeted.

"I understand the severity of my actions and take full responsibility. I know these words may not mean much now but I am deeply sorry to everyone I have let down."

Well, at least he owned up to it, though it's not like he had much choice.

There's no word yet on what sort of punishment Phelps can expect to face.
