The gang has certainly come a long way since their initial hookups, pranks, fights and hot tub romps of 2009. With a sober Situation and a pregnant Snooki, it's ... different.

JWoww and Roger Mathews are engaged.

The reality star's longtime boyfriend proposed to her last week, and it was all filmed for Jersey Shore spinoff Snooki & JWoww. Because Roger's proposal was among the more elaborate ones you'll ever see, though, the cat's out of the bag.

How did it go down, exactly?

Roger Mathews popped the question to the reality star when they were skydiving, according to WetPaint, which quotes a production insider as saying:

"It happened the middle of last week during filming for season two of Snooki & JWOWW ... (JWOWW) and Roger went skydiving and jumped out of a plane together. After landing securely, Roger shocked her by getting down on one knee and proposing."

"Of course, she said yes!”

As for Jenni's ring, "It's beautiful!" said the insider, "and big." Just don't expect to see it anytime soon, as the big reveal is being saved for her MTV show:

“The crew took great pains to make sure they weren’t followed; the footage is being kept tightly under wraps. Everyone will have to wait to see it.”

Snooki & JWoww was recently picked up for Season 2. Congrats to JWoww and Roger, assuming this report is true! What a way to get engaged.

Jersey Shore's Deena Nicole Cortese is a total wreck. So much so that Spicy Cantina & Mexican Grill doesn't want to see her face until 2014 at the earliest.

New Jersey liquor regulators said Thursday that they fined the Seaside Heights bar a whopping $15,000 for serving a "visibly intoxicated" Deena this June.

That was just before police arrested Deena Cortese for wandering into oncoming traffic PLASTERED in the middle of the day and disturbing the peace ... obviously.

As a condition of an agreement negotiated with Spicy Cantina & Mexican Grill and state regulators, Cortese is banned from the premises for two years.

Police said she was served multiple drinks she did not even order, as well as walked out of the bar with an alcoholic beverage - both illegal in N.J.

"This is a cautionary tale for licensees who think ignoring the law for the sake of air time is good for business," said Michael Halfacre, the division's director.

"By turning a blind eye to the mayhem that can be associated with reality TV, you are risking your livelihood. That is, without a doubt, bad for business."

MTV recently announced that Jersey Shore is canceled after the coming sixth season, but that doesn't mean the gang won't go out with a GTL-filled bang.

It'll just be a more poignant one, given recent circumstances.

Much of the final Jersey Shore season will clearly focus on Snooki's pregnancy as well as the new Situation, who returns from rehab a new, sober man.

Expect plenty of reminiscing as well. The teaser shows that the last summer takes on new meaning given the show's end and the gang's evolving lives.

Will l'il Lorenzo Dominic make an appearance? Will Pauly and Vinny finally declare their undying love for one another? What kind of drama will Mike start?

We'll all find out Thursday, October 4 on MTV. You watching?

Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi recently welcomed her first child, son Lorenzo Dominic LaValle. Now you can meet him on the cover of People!

After more than 24 hours of labor, Snooki gave birth to Lorenzo August 26. Fortunately, she and fiance Jionni LaValle say that choosing a name was easier.

"We were going back and forth, and I just happened to think of Lorenzo," says Jionni, inspired by a child he knew from his hometown. "She loved it."

The little guy's middle name, Dominic, is in memory of Polizzi's uncle (her father's brother), who passed away. "I did it for my dad," 24-year-old Snooki says.

Through it all, the future Mr. and Mrs. Jionni LaValle seem elated and content.

The couple can't say enough about their new baby, and their new life. With Jersey Shore canceled after this coming season, she'll have plenty of time for it.

"It's a different kind of love that I never felt before," she says. "When I got pregnant, everything changed. The partying is long gone. I'm a new person."

Jersey Shore is going out on a high note, according to MTV, which is speaking out about its rationale behind canceling the hit show after six seasons.

Executive VP of Programming Chris Linn says the cost of the cast was not factor, but "we always said we’d do the show as long as it made sense."

Long story short, that's no longer really the case.

"We noticed what was going on in their lives, with [Snooki having her baby], the relationships, etc. it felt like the right time to bring it to a close."

"The show still dominates, it’s the No. 1 show in our core demo, and it’s still incredibly successful. It’s really just about their lives evolving and changing in a way that moves everyone away from the original conceit of the show."

"We made what we think is the right, tough choice to end the show on top."

With Jersey Shore canceled after the coming season (debuting October 4), what kinds of things can we expect from the gang's farewell tour?

The days of GTL, fist pumping and beating up the beat are nearing their end on MTV as Jersey Shore's upcoming sixth season will officially be the last.

Since its December 2009 debut, the show has been a huge hit and its cast members have become bona fide celebrities, but ratings have dipped of late.

Also, with Snooki giving birth and The Situation sober following a trip to rehab, the gang may be - dare we say it with a straight face - growing up.

The network's plan is to launch a marketing storm touting Jersey Shore's final season as the guidos' final blowout before riding off into the sunset.

MTV will air a Jersey Shore marathon, as well as a one-hour retrospective special titled "Gym, Tan, Look Back" on September 6 before the VMAs.

The cast will also be part of the VMA's preshow to talk about the final season, which should certainly be an interesting one due to Snooki's pregnancy.

Rest assured, cameras were there to capture the birth of Lorenzo Dominic LaValle last week. Break out the Ron-Ron juice for that episode, people.
