Miley Cyrus is a liar and a fraud.

In her hit single, "Party in the USA," Cyrus gets all excited when a "Jay Z song" comes on the radio. In reality? The singer has never heard a single rap by this artist.

Cyrus says as much in an interview she gave on Halloween (posted after this article's jump). The star goes on to admit that she's not a fan of her own genre, saying:

"I don't listen to pop music."

But... you're a pop music superstar. What are you trying to say, Miles, that you don't write your own songs, have any say in which you sing and are nothing but a packaged Disney artist that will do anything your label tells you?

Cyrus adds that "Party in the USA" is "not even my style of music." For some reason, though, a higher power wants good things for this crooner.

"I'm really blessed for it to have done as well as it has. Totally blessed," she said. "God has definitely put me in an amazing position with amazing people."

We wonder if God also helped Miley choreograph the dance moves for this song when she performed it at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.

As voted on by citizens across the country, Miley Cyrus is the worst celebrity influence on the planet.

The young singer/actress clearly has a long way to go to improve her image, but this is a start: following a concert at Kentucky's Freedom Hall on Saturday night, Miley surprised fans with an encore performance at the Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville.

The star, dressed as Pocahontas, performed Joan Jett’s “I Love Rock N’ Roll," much to the screaming delight of those in attendance.

Keep this sort of thing up, Miley, and everyone might stop hating you.

Without a certain social networking system on which to rely, Miley Cyrus fans must scour the Internet to read the latest thoughts from their favorite singer.

Fortunately, The Hollywood Gossip is on that case every single day!

Earlier this week, for example, Cyrus appeared on Chicago's B96 morning show and was asked about the rumored relationship between Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner, both of whom she knows. Her response:

"The Taylors? Oh, I don't know. I'm not into the drama. I have no idea. But I've known Taylor [Lautner] since I was really young."

It's true. Cyrus and Lautner actually met prior to the former taking on the character of Hannah Montana.

"When he did [The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl], it was between me and somebody else, and then I ended up doing Hannah Montana, so I've known him for, like, a really long time... if he's happy and if she's happy, sounds good to me."

As for her relationshp with Liam Hemsworth, Miley was silent as usual. That's no fun.

A crazed fan might be threatening to kill a kitten if Miley Cyrus doesn't return to Twitter, but the singer isn't letting this possible homicide get her down.

On Ryan Seacrest's radio show today, Miley focused on her much-hyped, upcoming cameo in Sex and the City 2. She said:

"Literally, I shot for like an hour and a half, and I was done. It was a total dream come true... Working with [Kim Cattrall] was really cool, and Sarah Jessica Parker was the nicest person in the world."

Of course, it wouldn't be an interview with Cyrus if the actress didn't dish on something self-serving, as well.

Regarding her 17th birthday on November 23, the star revealed her outlandish part hopes, saying:

"I want to rent out a cool place and play all Dolly Parton music and have everyone dress up as their favorite Dolly moment. I am really excited about getting all my crew members to dress up as Dolly. That's probably going to be the funniest thing ever."

Perhaps Miley Cyrus should return to Twitter after all.

We've lauded the singer's decision to delete her account and focus on actually enjoying her life, as opposed to keeping strangers up to date on the minutiae of it.

But is that kind of privacy worth the life of an adorable kitten?!? Allow us to explain:

An insane Miley Cyrus fan has created a website in which he threatens to kill a cat unless the star re-opens her Twitter account. We're not kidding.

The other day I asked myself: 'What can I do to bring Miley back to Twitter?' Fan video? Petitions? Letters? That never works...

I looked at my cat, Fuzzy and I realized... I could always get another cat, but nothing can replace Miley's tweets for me...

I've set a deadline of November 16, 2009, when Fuzzy will part with his life and become a meal!

The attention-starved, mentally unstable individual behind the site says every time Miley Tweets, Fuzzy's life will be extended by one week.

Is this a bluff? Quite possibly. But is it wort taking that risk? We don't think so.

Your lame, pointless Tweets are no longer about your ego, Miles. It's time to pull out that keyboard, alert fans to your favorite ice cream and help poor, defenseless Fuzzy.

She'd do the same for you.

For the record, The Hollywood Gossip does not wish any harm on Miley Cyrus.

We've had our public issues with the singer, but we don't think she's the worst celebrity influence in the world and we certainly don't want to physically harm her.

The same, allegedly, cannot be said about Sean Christian Mathis.

According to police reports, the 22-year old appeared on Miley's movie set in June, saw the star's stunt double and screamed: "Hey, it's Miley Cyrus, I'm going to f-cking kill you."

TMZ writes that a cop ran the nut job down and arrested him for disorderly conduct, as well as making "terroristic threats." Mathis said he was a soldier, so he was taken into custody by military police, who will proceed with a case against him.

This isn't the first time someone has been apprehended for stalking Cyrus.

In August, Mark McLeod was also busted on the set of Miley's new movie. Yesterday, a grand jury decided there was insufficient evidence to pursue felony charges against him.

He's now free. We recommend Cyrus get protection, and not just for alone time with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

It's official: Miley Cyrus has lot touch with her fan base.

In a new AOL poll, the 16-year old singer was voted the worst celebrity influence of 2009. That's saying A LOT, considering Jon Gosselin and Kanye West are still alive!

Cyrus - whose attire and run through a myriad of boy toys over the last few months have raise red flags - received a whopping 42% of the vote. Britney Spears and Kanye finished second and third.

Vanessa Hudgens and Shia LeBeouf somehow rounded out the top five.

"I think Miley is in an interesting space where she is trying to graduate from being Hannah Montana and a Disney channel celebrity and coming into her own and having a career beyond Disney," said Stephanie Cohen, editor of JSYK.com, which ran the poll.

To Miley's credit, she's trying to turn her image around. She deleted her annoying Twitter account and recently sung to a child with cancer.

But is it too little, too late? You tell us: who is the worst celebrity influence?

It's the least well-kept secret on the Internet: The Hollywood Gossip is not a big fan of Miley Cyrus.

For months, we railed against the singer's self-serving use of Twitter, as well as her general ego and inappropriate attire for a 16-year old.

But might our staff need to adjust to a world in which Cyrus serves as an actual role model?!? She deleted her Twitter account this month because she came to the mature realization that it's not healthy to tell the world about your every thought and action.

Over the weekend, meanwhile, Miley performed at the Concert For Hope, a charity event held at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. In a giving gesture, she sung "The Climb" on stage with a young cancer patient. Check it out:

The event benefitted cancer research and treatment programs at City of Hope, one of the country’s leading cancer centers.

Just like last year - when she raised over two million dollars - Miley is donating one dollar from every ticket sold during her Wonder World Tour to the organization.

It's an act of charity even our critical staff can't find a single thing wrong with. Now, if only Cyrus would do something about her young sister's Halloween costume...

In late September, Miley Cyrus ran off a stage in Utah because she was sick. She later Tweeted that she was in the "worst pain" she had ever felt.

Soon after the incident, Miley's co-star, Cody Linley, told KTLA.com that his pal had contracted the dreaded H1N1 virus.

"The next day she told me she had the swine flu," Linley said, referring to a conversation with Cyrus following the aforementioned concert.

However, earlier today, Miley's rep wanted to make something very clear: "She did not have swine flu."

Phew. Thank goodness this manufactured drama is cleared up. If only there was some social networking site on which Miley herself could update fans about her status.

Does anyone know of anything like that?

Miley Cyrus claims - heck, she raps! - that she deleted her Twitter account because she wants to keep her private life private.

This may be true, but there's another likely reason why Cyrus is no longer active on the social networking site: it's free. And she's greedy.

After all, why give away your thoughts and opinions for nothing, when you can charge fans $29.95 per year for membership on your blog?!?

Cyrus actually does this. She often updates MileyWorld.com with random musings, but she forces young followers to spend their allowance in order to read her website.

We know it's a bad economy, but not even the most attention-starved, money-hungry celebrities out there ask fans to pony up cash in order to access their sites.

Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and even Spencer Pratt allow free, unlimited browsing of their official blogs. If you wanna make money off the Web, Miley, charge advertisers, not your fans.
