Robin Thicke, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles and John Legend Open Duets
Duets debuted on ABC last night and one thing is for certain: Chris Brown fans will NOT be tuning in.
Not when the quartet of judges includes John Legend, whose girlfriend was recently the target of ridiculous death threats from Team Breezy members.
The panel also includes Robin Thicke, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles, all of whom won't merely judge aspiring singers, but actually perform with them on stage as well.
First, however, this impressive foursome opened the premiere on its own, leading off last night's episode with a rendition of "Let Me Entertain You." Watch it here:

Kelly Clarkson Shows Off Thinner Figure, Performs at 2012 Billboard Music Awards
Not that she wasn't prety to begin with, but Kelly Clarkson is looking great these days, showing off a slim, toned physique at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards.
The original American Idol took the stage with a sexier look than we're used to seeing, making her performance of "Dark Side" even more memorable.
Kelly also has a new reality show coming out, Duets, and a recent tour that may have contributed to her weight loss. Whatever it is, bravo, girl!

Kelly Clarkson Covers Britney Spears' "Till The World Ends," Hates the Gym
Kelly Clarkson delivered the ever-rare Britney Spears live cover last night in concert, belting out a rendition of the pop queen's "Till the World Ends."
The inaugural American Idol winner has been performing covers of other artists, a la Taylor Swift, during her Stronger tour, and Brit Brit was on tap.
"I thought this would be a fun one you'll enjoy," she told an L.A. crowd before singing. "I know you know this song ... I expect everybody on these 'Os!'"
Kelly did an awesome job, even if she has mixed feelings about the song.
According to TooFab, she said, "I love that song. I always get this bad taste in my mouth though ... when I hear Britney Spears because usually she's my cardio music and I frickin hate cardio! I frickin' hate the gym ... the gym can suck it!"
Indeed. Way to stick it to the treadmill!
Brandon Blackstock: Dating Kelly Clarkson!
Kelly Clarkson has insisted for a long time now that she isn't a lesbian, she's just never been in love with a man.
And now, after gushing to a Toronto radio station on March 6 that she has a "new boyfriend," Clarkson truly has the chance to put the gay chatter to rest.
Sources confirm to Us Weekly that the original American Idol is dating Brandon Blackstock, the 35-year old stepson of Reba McEntire and a Nashville-based talent manager. He's also the son of Clarkson's own manager.
"Before Brandon, Kelly had a really tough time with love," an insider claims. "[Brandon] is just what she needed."
Good. The talented singer deserves all the happiness she can get. Treat her well, Mr. Blackstock!
Kelly Clarkson to Anchor ABC Singing Show, Duets
ABC is getting into the singing competition game.
The network announced last night that Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, Lionel Richie and Jennifer Nettles will headline Duets this summer, a reality show that will take the four stars on the road in search of singing partners.
Each week, the celebrity and one of his/her proteges will take the stage and perform in front of a live studio audience.
Said Clarkson, who won season one of American Idol and served as a mentor this year on The Voice, in a press release:
"The simple fact that I get to go out and find two people I believe in, sing with them every week and help them accomplish their dream is an amazing thing I can't wait to be a part of."
The winner of the competition will earn a recording contract with Hollywood Records.
Kelly Clarkson Covers Madonna: Watch, Cheer Now!
We are crazy for Kelly Clarkson.
On Saturday night - the evening before this American Idol champion belted out the national anthem and Madonna performed at halftime of Super Bowl XVLI - Clarkson took to the stage in Louisiana and also took a few fan requests.
Among them? "Crazy for You" by the Material Girl herself, a track that Kelly adorably told the crowd reminded her of a date at the skating track with some dude named Michael Webb. Note to Michael Webb: we hope you regret letting this one go.
Watch and listen below as Kelly does Madonna very proud:
Kelly Clarkson Super Bowl National Anthem: Nailed or Failed?
She didn't forget any lyrics, don any especially tight clothing or hold the final note for 45 seconds.
Instead, Kelly Clarkson simply did what she did best prior to Super Bowl XLVI tonight: she showed off an incredible voice, clocking in the national anthem at just under one minute and 34 seconds (for those of us who may or may not have wagered on its length).
Were you impressed by the performance? Did Kelly nail or or fail it? Watch Clarkson honor America now:
