Beloved former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is joining the team at Good Morning America as a contributor, according to a report from ABC News directly.

Virgin Tim Tebow

The ESPN analyst and former University of Florida standout was a special guest host on the program this past January prior to Super Bowl XLVIII.

ABC said that Tebow will help with the show's Motivate Me Monday series, reporting from the studio on inspirational stories from towns across the U.S.

Hard to think of a better role for Tebow, whose positive attitude, public embrace of his faith and telegenic charisma made him one of the biggest NFL draws.

That was disproportionate to his football abilities. Despite a successful 2011 season with Denver, he could not land another starting QB job in the pros.

Or even a roster spot. He has not played since 2012. But the man is going places, and it's hard to blame GMA for trying to create a TV brand of Tebowing.

About two months ago, Michael Strahan joined Good Morning America - and it's already looking like he may want to reconsider his new gig.

Police report that 25-year-old Andre Johnson was arrested on the GMA set this morning after arguing with security. A knife was found in Johnson's possession, and he admitted that he had intended to kill Strahan.

Johnson is currently being held without bail.

Strahan has yet to issue a statement on the matter, but it has been confirmed that he never saw Johnson and was not in any threat of danger.

Good Morning America's Lara Spencer has been named co-host of the ABC show, according to reports, along with Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos.

The lifestyles anchor's promotion was confirmed by ABC News chief James Goldston, who told the staff about the move in a memo Friday, April 18:

"A key member of our on-air team, Lara Spencer, rejoined ABC three years ago, bringing her style, humor, sunny confidence, wonderful journalism, and storytelling to GMA."

"Lara is an essential ingredient in the success we have enjoyed, and I am so pleased to announce that Lara has been elevated to co-host of the program along with Robin and George."

Goldston praised Roberts, whom he called "the captain" and "the heart of GMA," and veteran newsman Stephanopoulos, who has "a work ethic that's unmatched."

Lara Spencer, he says, will help round out the stellar news team.

The claws are reportedly out between Amy Robach and Lara Spencer.

With Josh Elliot having left Good Morning America this month for NBC Sports, sources tell Radar Online that his replacement is not a big fan of the woman with whom she now often shares a desk.

There are many reasons why, but first and foremost...

"Among the gripes Amy has with Lara is that she shamelessly flirts with the male staff and guests," an insider supposedly says. "It’s cringe-worthy, according to Amy, and she hates to see it."

This sort of (alleged) morning show tension, of course, has been reserved for Today over the past several months, with many staffers on that program taking issue with Matt Lauer.

Live with Kelly and Michael host and NFL Hall of Fame inductee Michael Strahan may join Good Morning America, according to a new report.

Though ABC declined to comment, a source confirms that ABC News has been talking to the former New York Giants defensive end, 42, for months.

Strahan's addition is the latest casting shakeup on the popular show.

"He's not being brought in to replace Josh Elliott [whose departure was announced on Sunday]," says the inside source. "He's not taking anyone's spot."

Instead, GMA hopes to add Strahan to the morning program, while still allowing him to fulfill his Live with Kelly and Michael co-hosting duties with Kelly Ripa.

Details are being worked out, but it is expected that Strahan, who has made quite a post-NFL career for himself, would appear between 7 and 8:15 a.m.

It's not clear what types of segments he will be featured in.

Josh Elliott is leaving Good Morning America to join NBC Sports, while Amy Robach will replace him as co-anchor, ABC announced in a memo Sunday.

ABC News president Ben Sherwood confirmed that he had been contract talks with Elliott for several months and were not able to agree to terms.

While "we worked hard to close a significant gap between our generous offer and his expectations ... Josh felt he deserved a different deal," he said.

As a result, Elliott "chose a new path," but Sherwood went on to add that, "I want to thank Josh for his many contributions to GMA and ABC News."

Amy Robach, who revealed in October that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer following an on-air mammogram, will co-anchor the show.

In late December, Robin Roberts posted a Facebook message that expressed gratitude to all that have helped her through a difficult period in her life, one that included a bone marrow transplant to treat a rare blood disorder.

The Good Morning America anchor also referenced girlfriend Amber Laign for the first time publicly in the post, coming out as gay.

Today, meanwhile, the anchor shared a photo of herself and her long-time partner at a wedding in Louisiana over the holidays.

Pitbull may have had an easy time hosting the American Music Awards last night, but the musician woke up to a serious problem today:

He was trapped inside his Good Morning America dressing room, held captive there by The Joker.

Fortunately, the program had a very special guest on the episode and he was able to defeat his nemesis, freeing Pitbull in the process and once again serving as a hero to millions.

Yes, Miles Scott - the five-year old cancer survivor best known as "Batkid," to whom San Francisco dedicated a full day this month - made his presence very much felt on the GMA set this morning.

Watch him come to Pitbull's rescue and learn more about his very awesome story now:

Amy Robach agreed to a mammogram screening last month as part of a viewer awareness segment on Good Morning America.

And she's fortunate she did:

In an interview with Robin Roberts today, the reporter opened up about being diagnosed with breast cancer during the exam.

"It's still hard for me to say the words out loud. I have breast cancer," Robach told her colleague, adding that her family has no history of the disease.

Great news this week out of Good Morning America.

Robin Roberts will resume her full-time duties with the program following Labor Day, making the announcement in an interview with Vanity Fair and joking about how she's managing to sneak in one more four-day work week due to the holiday.

The anchor underwent a bone marrow transplant last September after she was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder.

She returned to Good Morning American in February, after taking more than six months of medical leave and has slowly been working her way back up to regular status, even interviewing Michelle Obama along the way.

She also hosted ABC's red carpet coverage of the Academy Awards and received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at ESPYs in July.

We send Robin our very best and, wait, if you listen closely... that sound you hear is Matt Lauer crying.
