Wendy Williams is taking her divorce seriously. Reports say that she’s protecting her massive fortune from Kevin Hunter.

But a court may take that decision out of her hands — if Kevin gets his way.

In court, he’s demanding that she pay his court fees, pay him child support, and alimony.

Us Weekly got their hands on court documents from what is slowly but surely shaping up to be a deeply contentious divorce.

Kevin Hunter filed the papers on April 23.

The 46-year-old producers is demanding "rehabilitative alimony and permanent alimony."

Rehabilitative alimony is spousal support paid during a (relatively) short period of time during or after a divorce.

The idea is to give the non-breadwinner spouse time to land on their feet.

Permanent alimony, of course, is awarded to sustain one ex long term, and can last for decades.

Kevin Hunter is seeking more than just alimony, however.

In the court filing, he is asking for "“equitable distribution of all personal assets."

Considering that the two of them have been married for 21 years, he could get a solid chunk of a lot of what Wendy owns.

He wants Wendy to pay his legal fees.

Additionally, he is asking for "child support and college expenses" for their 19-year-old son, Kevin Jr.

This divorce comes on the heels of rumors swirling that Kevin’s alleged mistress has given birth to his child.

"I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family, and her amazing fans,” Kevin said in April.

“I am going through a time of self-reflection," he stated. "And am trying to right some wrongs."

"No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family," Kevin affirmed.

"And I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face," he insisted.

He noted that Wendy was "living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine."

Initially, Wendy was vocal about how Kevin was supportive of her during the divorce.

But it wasn’t long before he was fired from the set, where he had worked as a producer on her show.

Then, reports circulated, saying that Wendy had hired a personal security team to keep her safe.

The apparent reason was that Kevin had allegedly behaved aggressively towards her prior to the divorce announcement.

She reportedly had the security in place before he was served with divorce papers, just to be safe.

That sounds … incredibly serious.

Wendy has also been grappling with issues of sobriety.

Some have suspected that perhaps it was while spending time away from Kevin and without drugs that she realized that the marriage had to end.

Other fans have spun conspiracy theories that Wendy was being poisoned — which, to be fair, was something that police also feared at one point.

Odds are pretty good that a multitude of factors led to the end of this two-decade marriage.

And chances seem pretty decent that their court battle has only just begun — and may get a whole lot uglier.

For Wendy, that could cost a tremendous amount of money.
