If you follow her on social media, then you're probably aware that Jenelle Evans recently published a memoir.
She's been promoting the thing non-stop, and her publishing company has released several inflammatory passages online.
In the portions that have already gone public, we learn that Jenelle was a teenage sex addict whose experiences with hard drug use started even earlier and brought her closer to death than originally thought.
In other excerpts, Jenelle bashes her siblings, tears into her father who left the family when she was just a child, and claims that her mother's abusive tendencies nearly drove to suicide, a claim that she's since retracted.
Jenelle's relationship with the truth is notoriously tenuous, so perhaps it's not surprising that many fans have already questioned the veracity of her Dickensian tales of woe.
Now, for the first time, a member of the Carolina Hurricane's inner circle is coming out and saying what so many were already thinking:
Jenelle is blatantly full of it.
“It's not even true," Jenelle's mother, Barbara Evans, tells Radar Online.
Yes, Babs isn't going through and nit-picking individual anecdotes.
She's flat-out saying the entire book is fabricated.
“She doesn’t even know half the story of her life!” Barbara continues.
“She was only three when her father left.”
“I’m getting a little sick and tired of it,” Babs adds, noting that there's one account in the book that particularly got her goat.
As TM2 fans know, Barbara has held primary custody of Jennelle's son Jace for most of the boy's life.
In the book, Jenelle claims the arrangement is the result of a cruel trick her mother played not long after Jace was born.
“One night, my mother convinced me to go out with my friends so I could relax,” Jenelle writes.
“I should have been suspicious at the time. My mother wasn’t the relaxing type of person, much less the kind of woman to encourage others to enjoy themselves.

She says that as a result of the incident, CPS threatened to put Jace in foster care unless she agreed to sign over custody to her mother.
“I fell into the trap of signing over the custody of my son Jace. I thought I was doing it so I could get my life back on track and regain custody of my son,” she writes.
“The courts awarded her full custody and she has retained rights ever since.”
Babs claims the story is utter nonsense, saying, “I’m not gonna look like the bad person here, because I’m not.”
Sounds like relations among the Evans gals won't be improving anytime soon.
