He did not!

Adam Levine, as we saw in The Voice Season 6 premiere, will pull out all the stops when it comes to wooing new talent, and scored a big win here.

The Voice is back for Season 6, and Monday night's premiere featured the best audition EVER in the storied history of the popular NBC singing competition!

At least according to Adam Levine, who returns as coach alongside Blake Shelton. Both of whom have been in the swiveling spaceship chairs since day one.

Interim coaches Shakira and Usher are back in 2014, sitting in, literally, for the newly engaged and newly pregnant Christina Aguilera and just-retired Cee Lo Green.

But back to the Blind Auditions, and particularly Dawn & Hawkes ... the favorite opening effort Adam Levine has seen in six seasons! See them for yourself:

They were solid, deserving of a spot on the show and possibly having turned in the best of the night. But was Adam going overboard with such extreme praise?

Their song choice, "I've Just Seen a Face," didn't hurt, as the Maroon 5 singer is a devout Beatles buff. In any case, he wooed the duo to join his Season 6 roster.

Dawn & Hawkes weren't the only contestants who impressed last night, though. Seven other Blind Auditions earned spots in the next round. Let's take a look ...

Justin Bieber found incredible success on the stage in 2013 and hit many obstacles off of it.

There was the pee bucket incident. The stealing of the bicycle in Las Vegas. The many times his bodyguards have been accused of assault. And even some booing at the Billboard Music Awards.

Asked about the tribulations of his protege this week, Usher told The Associated Press "more money" leads to "more problems" and also said Justin has been in a unique position throughout his career.

"There are peaks and valleys in every person’s life," Usher added. "Unfortunately the reality is he has to live with a camera in front of him, but what he chooses to do on or off camera is analyzed or scrutinized in some off way.”

Tameka Raymond was a guest today on Good Morning America, taking time to explain her side of the recent custody battle with Usher.

The 42-year old told Dan Abrams that she never blamed Usher for the pool accident that nearly took the couple's son, but was "just angry that it happened on his watch. Never have my children been injured on my watch."

A few days after settling a new custody issue with ex-wife Tameka Raymond, Usher received more good news today:

His five-year old son has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Usher Raymond V - the artist's oldest son with Tameka, who nearly drowned last Monday - "is going to be just fine," a source tells People. "Doctors were taking every precaution to make sure Cinco was okay, but the danger looks like it has passed."

Hours of emotional testimony in the custody battle between Usher and his ex-wife today resulted in the singer keeping primary custody of the former couple's two sons.

As previously reported, five-year old Usher Raymond V nearly drowned on Monday and remains in the ICU under doctor's care, though all accounts say the boy will recover fully.

In response to the incident, Tameka Raymond was granted an emergency hearing in which she argued that Usher is a negligent father who too often leaves the children under someone else's supervision.

A day after Usher released a statement and thanked the heroes who rushed to his son's side after the five-year old nearly drowned on Monday, Tameka Raymond has posted a photo of little Usher Raymond V on Instagram.

The singer's ex-wife is cradling her child in the image and included with it a caption that reads:

"My favorite 5-year-old. What a blessing! I have always loved and appreciated my sons but tragedies and close calls make this even more evident."

It's a sweet sentiment and message... but it's hard not to also see those words as a veiled attack on Usher, considering Tameka is taking him to court and fighting to regain custody of her kids.

Usher has released his first statement since the near-drowning of his five-year old son.

In it, the singer does not reference Tameka Foster and/or his ex-wife's attempt to regain custody of her children, instead focusing on the gratitude he has for those who rushed in and saved Usher Raymond V.

"I would like to thank my Aunt Rena as well as the doctors and nurses who are working with us around the clock. I would especially like to thank the two men who saved my son's life, Eugene Stachurski and Ben Crews," the singer said. "They are true heroes and I am deeply grateful to them."
