Teen Mom Trailer: The Final Season Begins ...

It's the beginning of the end for Teen Mom's fabulous foursome - Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell - on MTV this summer.

Though the Teen Mom franchise is sticking around on the network with its second (and soon-to-be third) ensembles, the four who started it all are bowing out.

The final season, premiering next month, promises big things for Amber, Maci, Farrah and Cate. Take a look at the trailer for their upcoming swan song below:

Among this season's new challenges:

  • Amber Portwood's suicide attempt, 911 calls, meltdowns in front of Gary, loss of custody of Leah, and ongoing legal woes (she's in jail right now).
  • Catelynn and her fiance Tyler Baltierra wonder if putting daughter Carly up for adoption really was the right decision ... EVERY SINGLE EPISODE.
  • Farrah moving to Florida with little Sophia.
  • Maci fighting with Ryan Edwards a lot.

It all starts June 12! Yeah, baby!

Teen Mom Season 4 Will Be Final Season For Original Cast

It looks like Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout will be calling it a career after the upcoming fourth season of Teen Mom.

MTV confirmed this in a statement Friday. If there's any confusion this means the fourth and final season for just the cast members mentioned above.

Teen Mom 2, featuring Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry just aired its second season and may still receive a third on MTV.

The Teen Mom Stars

Meanwhile, there will be a Teen Mom 3, with the cast selected from members of the all-new 16 & Pregnant cast ... everybody clear on all this now?

"Season 4 will be the final season of Teen Mom with Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah," MTV tells Us. "They will continue to be a part of our MTV family."

"We're thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention."

There's no specific date set for Season Four's premiere.

Sad to see the original stars retire? Amber Portwood's police run-ins should keep her in the news, but will we ever hear from Maci, Farrah and Cate again?

Maci Bookout and Kyle King: It's Over!

Teen Mom star Maci Bookout really thought she was ready to walk down the aisle with her boyfriend, Kyle King, after dating him for nearly two years.

Apparently, King had other ideas.

Constant pressure by Bookout, 20, to get hitched pushed away King, 23, according to Us Weekly, and the couple called it quits in early February.

"Maci wanted something way more serious," explains an insider, but Kyle pulled the plug, ending the relationship days shy of their two-year anniversary.

Maci and Kyle

The two, who were childhood pals, had been living together in Chattanooga, Tenn., since the summer of 2010, but "She was never happy enough just being a couple. "

As we saw on Teen Mom on more than one occasion, the source says Maci Bookout "always wanted more, more, more, whether it was a ring or another baby."

Kyle King wasn't able to handle the pressure and "broke it off," says the source. "It's really sad because they love each other, but she pushed him away."

No word on how Ryan Edwards feels about the breakup.

Maci Bookout: Jealous of Ryan Edwards' New Girlfriend Dalis Connell?

After splitting from Ryan Edwards, who got her pregnant and in doing so, launched her reality TV career on Teen Mom, Maci Bookout has moved on from her ex.

Her current, live-in beau, Kyle King, is a much better influence on Maci, and frankly, on Bentley, her three-year-old son with Ryan. Life's good for the redhead.

So why is she jealous of Ryan's new girlfriend, Dalis Connell?

Maci Bookout Tattoos

"I want him to be happy because he excels when he’s happy," Maci Bookout said of Edwards ... but that was before he started dating, and talking marriage with Connell.

Not surprisingly, she's singing a different tune now.

“Maci has been pretty jealous,” a close source says of Ryan's baby mama. “Dalis feels like it could be because she and Ryan may actually get married before Maci does or maybe because Maci is not getting Ryan’s attention anymore.”

But Ryan and Dalis are trying to rise above Maci’s envy. “Their relationship is definitely true love. They have both been completely supportive of each other. But Maci clearly still has feelings for Ryan. And Kyle can’t be too happy about it.”

We'll see how this plays out. In the meantime, for more drama coming your way next month, check out the just-released Teen Mom 2 Season 2 trailer!

Teen Mom Reunion, Part 2: Who Wants to Get Pregnant Again? Who's in Jail?

Teen Mom's third season is officially in the books after Part 2 of MTV's reunion special. So how did their "checkup" with Dr. Drew go? What did we learn Tuesday night?

Picking up where last week's special left off, with Amber Portwood walking off the set after mourning her sister's crib death years ago, Dr. Drew aired a SIDS PSA.

Too little too late to help the downward spiral that is Amber, but still, class move.

Dr. Drew spent much of last week calling out Farrah for her behavior this season. This time, we spent the majority of the time catching up with Catelynn and Maci.

Catelynn and Tyler revealed that his dad, Butch, wasn't sent back to prison because of a drug test, but for violating a no-contact order and meeting with wife April.

When Catelynn's mom came on stage, Dr. Drew asked, simply, "What the hell?"

Pinsky is kind of the man after that, we'll give him credit. As is Tyler. Why?

Teen Mom Reunion: Dr. Drew Calls Out Train Wrecks

After a tumultuous season of Teen Mom, the fab four headed to L.A. for their obligatory MTV reunion special slash therapy session with Dr. Drew Pinsky.

He did not mince words.

Farrah Abraham in particular got an earful from Drew after crying about her cruel fate, missing out on her teenage years because she had a baby, etc.

Farrah and Sophia Photo

I love you so much!!!! Okay, later!

While Farrah ditched Sophia with her parents to go "found herself" in Florida, she used this opportunity to tell everyone she'd changed her mind! Maybe!

Farrah doesn't know if it's in Sophia's best interest to be cared for by her personally or her grandparents in Iowa. She's also, like, so lonely in Florida!

Dr. Drew finally had to shut down the pity party, which has been building all summer and apparently didn't end with last week's Teen Mom season finale.

Telling Farrah to "add it up," the doc said, first off, to stop sniveling: "You have to let go of the fantasies of childhood," he said. "It's time to let go."

Teen Mom Season Finale Recap: See You in a Few Years, Sophia!

On the season finale of Teen Mom, everything came to a head. What did Farrah Abraham decide about moving? How did Maci Bookout leave things with Ryan Edwards? Does Gary Shirley have a career as a recording artist?

All questions we may not fully know the answers to until the reunion special and perhaps beyond, but still. Absolutely edge-of-your-seat, gripping TV.

Let's break down the third season finale of Teen Mom, THG style!

Farrah Abraham on the After Show

Farrah celebrated Sophia's second birthday by putting her cooking skills to work on a cake. We don't mean to sound harsh, but ... maybe it's time for a second career path? Or a different one altogether? Thing looked rank. Minus 6.

At least she tried, though. For once. Plus 3.

The motherhood thing? Not her style! Farrah is going to "grow into my own person" and "become whole again" by ditching her daughter in Iowa and going to school in Florida. Sophia will feel so loved watching this in a few years. Minus 25.

She decided to poignantly drive around and look at places that reminded her of Derek ... the guy she broke up with and accused of stalking her, and whose parents want to take Sophia away from her. Totally realistic portrayal. Minus 11.

Teen Mom Recap: Baby Grandma Drama

On this week's Teen Mom, Farrah Abraham butted heads with her mom regarding Sophia, while Maci made a discovery about Bentley's paternal grandmother.

Making sure Amber didn't have to work too hard (heaven forbid, what would the world be coming to), Leah's grandparents did a heck of a job pitching in as well.

Catelynn and Tyler? They're still around too. No one knows why.

Let's break down last night's episode of Teen Mom, THG style!

Farrah Abraham Image

Farrah's plans to move to Ft. Lauderdale are shockingly still in effect. She was even accepted into a culinary school. Which one? Who knows, but Plus 4 because at least it required some degree of effort on her part.

She takes her parents out to dinner for her dad's birthday and unveils the present every father craves - she booked a family counseling session!! Crickets. Minus 7.

Farrah says the idea of being without Sophia is "hard on me." Ya think? Plus 5.

It's also "good that I spend more time on myself, because I need that." Don't we all. You can't use that as an excuse to shirk responsibility, though. Minus 6.

Teen Mom Recap: All About Priorities

On this week's Teen Mom, Maci Bookout signed back up for school, Farrah Abraham tried to do the same, and Amber Portwood was released from lockup.

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra got into a tiff about him livin' de life, but ultimately made up and made out. It's all about priorities for the youngans.

Let's break down last night's episode of Teen Mom, THG style!

Hot Maci Bookout Pic

Maci decides to enroll in classes despite how "boring" they are. Plus 4.

Kyle breaks his kneecap in an apparent motocross accident. Minus 8 for the obvious pain, but Plus 10 because Maci didn't miss class for his birthday.

She did go to the salon, though, going "blonde and long" with platinum extensions. Plus only 2, because she looks good, but she already was so cute naturally, and this is an "I'm available at the club" kind of appearance.

"I don't work anymore." - Ryan Edwards. Did he ever? Minus 5.

The previews for next week show him - what else - partying. Hey, he's got time. But Plus 3 because Maci tells him point blank he won't have Bentley.

Teen Mom Recap: Learning From Our Mistakes

On last night's Teen Mom, there were no major bombshells or blowout fights. Just a lot of family moments we can all relate to. Well, for the most part.

Clearly, Catelynn's family situation is unique, while Amber's entire existence is complete upheaval. But this episode was more about the little things for all.

In which case, bravo, MTV. Let's break down last night's Teen Mom:

Catelynn Lowell, Father

"I'm just excited to have one of my stable parents around again." - Catelynn Lowell. Minus 7 for the fact that the bar is set so low. We've arrived at the point where "stable" means non-incarcerated and relatively non-insane.

Plus 4, though, because at least Dave trusts Catelynn's judgment.

Despite not seeing Catelynn in four years, Dave, who's in Michigan for a job opportunity, proclaims Tyler a "good kid" and seems accepting of his daughter and where she is in her life nowadays. All in all, it could be worse. Plus 8.
