Insiders confirm to TMZ that the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is pushing the District Attorney to prosecute the singer on battery charges, following his actions earlier this year concerning a neighbor in California.

Bieber is accused of screaming and spitting at the man.

Investigators are not looking to send Justin to prison, but rather to send a message.

They believe he's in need of counseling due to a series of poor choices and bad - often illegal - behavior.

Justin Bieber may be in more trouble with the law.

According to a Swedish newspaper (per TMZ) the singer's tour bus was raided by police in Stockholm last night because authorities detected a "strong smell" of marijuana.

On board the vehicle, which was parked outside the arena in which Bieber was performing, law enforcement officials discovered a small amount of the drug.

Of note:

• No arrests have been made.
• It's unknown if Justin was on board the bus at the time of the search.

Bieber, of course, was caught smoking pot a few months ago and subsequently apologized, promising to "be better."

Justin Bieber is facing criticism today after word leaked that he left an inappropriate message in the guest book at the Anne Frank museum.

The singer was in Amsterdam prior to a concert last night and stopped by the house where Frank and her family were hidden while avoiding Nazi persecution during World War II.

"Truly inspiring to be able to come here," Bieber wrote in a guest book at the museum. "Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber."

According to authorities, Justin Bieber will likely face criminal battery charges for his argument with an angry neighbor earlier this week.

As previously reported, the singer was confronted by Jeff Schwartz - a 47-year old father of three - and berated for driving recklessly around the neighborhood.

Both Schwartz, his wife and a third witness claim Bieber spit on his antagonist during the disagreement and had to be restrained by his bodyguard from going after him.

Los Angeles County Investigators have looked into the incident and will refer the case to the District Attorney, law enforcement insiders confirm to TMZ.

Authorities tell TMZ that reckless driving was, indeed, the source of the argument between Bieber and the man who lives next door, as Justin took his newly-fixed Ferrari for a spin around 8 a.m.

Multiple neighbors confirm that Justin was driving dangerously fast in the presence of pets and kids, which prompted the accuser to storm over to the artist's property and scream at him to slow down in the future.
