Melissa Etheridge has taken an unusual stance again Angelina Jolie.

With most of the world applauding this actress for undergoing a double mastectomy in order to ensure that a gene mutation would not lead to breast cancer, the singer has come out and labeled Jolie a coward.

"I have that gene mutation too and it's not something I would believe in for myself," Etheridge tells The Washington Blade. "I wouldn't call it the brave choice. I actually think it's the most fearful choice you can make when confronting anything with cancer.

Angelina Jolie‘s double mastectomy was apparently just the beginning. The Oscar winner's ovaries are coming out too, according to People magazine.

She implied as much in the New York Times op-ed in which she revealed she had a double mastectomy after learning she carries a “faulty” BRCA1 gene.

That trait could dramatically increase her risk for breast and ovarian cancers, which she is determined to prevent, no matter the physical toll.

“I started with the breasts, as my risk of breast cancer is higher than my risk of ovarian cancer, and the surgery is more complex,” the star wrote.

The morning after Angelina Jolie published an op-ed in The N.Y. Times that revealed her decision to have a double mastectomy, Brad Pitt has issued a statement.

One in which he praises his life partner in no uncertain terms.

"Having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie's choice, as well as many others like her, absolutely heroic," he told London's Evening Standard.

"I thank our medical team for their care and focus."

In Tuesday's New York Times Op-Ed section, Jolie revealed the difficult medical decision she made after discovering she carried the BRCA1 gene.

This leads to an increased risk in breast and ovarian cancer.

Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, passed away at 56 after battling cancer for over a decade.

As Jolie said in her article, We often speak of “Mommy’s mommy,” and I find myself trying to explain the illness that took her away from us. They have asked if the same could happen to me."

A never-before-seen topless photograph of Angelina Jolie from back in the day has surfaced and is expected to fetch big bucks at an art house auction.

The picture was taken by famed celebrity photographer David LaChapelle in 2001. He took a series of Angelina Jolie photos when the star was just 25.

A number of pics will be auctioned next month during The Wild Side of Photography sale at Christie’s fine art auction house in London, reports indicate.

Angelina’s is expected to go for between $30,000 and $46,000.
