The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 7 Premiere Recap: Tamra & Gretchen as Friends?!
After a long hiatus, The Real Housewives of Orange County are back for a seventh season. Let's catch up with them in THG's +/- review of the premiere!
When we first see Gretchen, she’s getting ready to go to lunch. With Tamra. Because they’re trying to “bury the hatchet.” And because Tamra’s negativity just brings Gretchen down.
Slade’s not happy about a potential Gretchen-Tamra truce.
Plus 10 for trying to be the bigger person. Minus 10 for the rose petals in the bathroom floor.
Vicki’s house is for sale and they have a showing, so she has to go make the bed for her adult son because people won’t want to buy the house if the line on the comforter isn’t straight. And then they have to fluff the pillows on the couch.
Plus 10 because they’re doing it themselves.
Vicki also reveals that she’s dating a guy named Brooks who lives in Mississippi. He hasn’t been to her house because - get this - Don’s still living there because she needs his paycheck to maintain the house. But it’s okay because she and Don haven’t seen each other in about two months (despite living in the same house).
Minus 10 for the weird factor.
The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 7 Preview: Double D-licious!
We're less than two weeks away from the return of Bravo's longest-running franchise, The Real Housewives of Orange County.
What scripted drama have writers come up with for cast members Tamra Barney, Gretchen Rossi, Alexis Bellino, Vicki Gunvalson and Heather Dubrow? E! News has spoken to a number of them and provided the following preview:
Barney has downgraded in the chest department, reducing the size of her 34 Double Ds - and she couldn't be happier about it.
"It's been one of the best things I have ever done in my life," she says. "I feel a lot more confident without my implants."
Rossi, meanwhile, worried that newbie Dubrow might "have a stick up her ass," but Heather says she was "pleasantly surprised [by] how well we all got along" on the show. Boring!

Vicki Gunvalson Defends, Loves Brook Ayers
On Bravo's Watch What Happens Live last Sunday, Vicki Gunvalson fired back against charges that she's in love with a man who neglects his kids.
Asked about Brook Ayers - the man this Real Housewife of Orange County has been allegedly dating before she even split with husband Donn and who was arrested twice in 2010 for not paying child support - Vicki said the media "doesn't tell the whole truth."
“I knew everything. There wasn’t any secrets and lies," Gunvalson told host Andy Cohen of reports she was duped by her boyfriend.
Vicki even penned a letter to the judge after one of Ayers' arrests, asking her man get released from custody. Is that because she is in love with Brook, Cohen asked?
"Yes, Vicki replied, who must have been lying when she said she felt guilty talking about her divorce and her relationships on the show.

Vicki Gunvalson on Divorce Chatter: My Bad!
Vicki Gunvalson feels guilty.
The Real Housewife of Orange County talked to E! News this week about her divorce from husband Donn and said she regrets going off about such private issues on reality TV.
"I hurt Donn a lot by exposing all of the things that I did," Vicki said. "Which I never meant to do. The unfortunate part is I started talking to Tamra [Barney] in confidence, and you tend to forget that there's a microphone on and she's like, 'What's wrong with you, what's wrong with you, what's wrong with you? You're not yourself.' And I just started unloading. And the cameras caught it."
Vicki added that she loves and respects Donn and they are in the process of mediation.
Regarding the season finale, which was filmed at Vicki's house, and the subsequent reunion special, this Housewife sure knows how to set up a tease - and gross out viewers.
"I cried 15 hours, the entire time, I couldn't get control of my tears," she said. "I got in the limo at the end and my stomach was just in a knot. I thought, am I going to throw up or am I going to have diarrhea."
Ah, lovely.
Vicki Gunvalson to Brandi Glanville: Be Careful!
Brandi Glanville is officially a reality star. The ex-wife of Eddie Cibrian has signed on for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
But Vicki Gunvalson, a member of the Orange County branch of this Bravo franchise, has a stern warning for Glanville: Be careful.
“It’s not all glamour," Gunvalson said to OK!. "You’re going to shed some real tears. You’re going to see people hurt you that you never thought could hurt you before. I think she’s in for a rude awakening. It’s not all fun at times, but the experiences have been that of a lifetime. I wouldn’t change it for the world."
Vicki has been a Real Housewife since 2007. Hilariously claiming that all stories regarding her on the series are "true," Gunvalson also has an opinion on the Beverly Hills cast.
Vicki Gunvalson Previews New Season of The Real Housewives of Orange County
The Real Housewives of Orange County return tomorrow night. What can viewers expect from the cast that kicked off this Bravo franchise? Referring to new co-stars Peggy Tanous and Fernanda Rocha, Vicki Gunvalson tells TV Guide:
"Each time we get a new cast member, I open my arms and I don't have preconceived notions about them, I just hope we can all get along and that was the case this year. It was just a good blend and a good fit and I was really excited about that. No drama on that end from me, so that was good. There may be some with the other girls, but I stood clear of it."
Will Gunvalson still be feuding with Tamra? She says:
"I'm her friend, I love her and I want the best for her. She's in a great place now and she's extremely happy and that you'll see this season... I knew Tamra was in a tough place. She had Simon telling her that it was my fault. I knew it wasn't. I had nothing to do with their marriage woes."
Vicki Gunvalson: Hospitalized for Bleeding
Vicki Gunvalson has been hospitalized with internal bleeding.
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member - filed for divorce from husband Donn last week - will remain under doctor care for further tests today, as professionals try to discover the source of the problem.
We wish her a speedy recovery and will update this story as more details come in.
UPDATE: "It's not due to anxiety," the star later said.. "It's not due to a divorce. I'm very sick. I was hemorrhaging. It was very scary. I have internal bleeding in my colon, and they fixed it."
Vicki Gunvalson and Husband: It's Over!
Following a roller coaster marriage that included a vow renewal in late 2009 (pictured) and rumors of infidelity in February 2010, Vicki Gunvalson and husband Donn have finally called it quits.
The Real Housewives of Orange County filed for divorce yesterday, citing "irreconcilable differences."
The couple, who had no children together, often fought on the Bravo reality show, as Vicki famously once said she needed a refill in her "love tank."
Assuming that's some kind of euphemism, she's now free to let any man out there pump her full of premium.
Vicki Gunvalson: I Am Not a Cheater!
According to Vicki Gunvalson, the reports that say she cheated on her husband last month are as manufactured as the drama that plays out on The Real Housewives of Orange County each week.
Days after Star magazine published a photo of the 47-year-old married mother partying with University of Manitoba student Mike Pullin in Mexico, Vicki has addressed the Internet controversy.
“He... told me it was his birthday and wanted a birthday kiss," she told People, explaining the much ballyhooed smooch. "He seemed nice, but very star struck!”
Well, sure. Who wouldn't be star struck in the presence of Vicki Gunvalson?!?
The reality star says she gave the young stud a kiss, but “I never made out with him, as he stated. I never let him touch me inappropriately - ever.”
Pullin seems to agree. His side of the story?
“Honestly, we all hung out for a couple hours that night, her friends and mine. We drank together, danced a bit, took lots of photos, and we kissed! The pics are real, but it wasn’t as bad as Star made it out be."
Do you believe him? Or is Vicki Gunvalson the Tiger Woods of spoiled reality TV stars?
