Jenelle Evans is not very popular these days.
Come to think of it, Jenelle has never been very popular, but she's been even more reviled than ever in recent weeks.
As you've likely heard by now Evans got fired from Teen Mom 2 and lost custody of her children last month.
Basically, Jenelle's life unraveled with astonishing speed, and it all started when her husband, David Eason, shot and killed the family dog.
Yes, the man really executed an 11-pound French bulldog named Nugget during one of his infamous fits of rage.
He and Jenelle have already paid a hefty price for that appalling act, but as they're about to learn, there are lots of animal lovers and David haters on the internet -- and the #JusticeForNugget campaign for has only just begun.
Take a look:
A New Low
Jenelle was never the most responsible pet owner, but even longtime TM2 viewers -- most of whom are painfully familiar with her selfishness and irresponsibility -- may have found themselves in shock when she decided to stay with David after he executed Nugget while her children were at home.
The Absolute Worst
At first, the details seemed too shocking to believe -- David dragged the small dog outside and killed him with a shotgun while his horrified children cowered in terror.
Jenelle later revealed that 11-year-old Maryssa hid in her room and didn't emerge until the next day.
Apparently unaware that animal abuse is not great for one's public image, Jenelle has taken to posting "homesteading" videos that show David -- you guessed it! -- manhandling and mistreating all sorts of frightened animals.
What a Guy
At one point, David shoves a piglet into Nugget's face. Yes, the same Nugget who was apparently so vicious he needed to be violently put down.
The Land of Violence
We know that the videos are old, not only because Nugget is still alive when they were filmed, but because there were still children living with Jenelle and David at the time.
Some Things Never Change
But Jenelle still thinks it's cool to post this sort of thing, and you can be sure David's behavior hasn't changed in the slightest.
Somehow, with all that's going on in her life, Jenelle has found the time to return to a long-abandoned project -- her JE Cosmetics makeup line, which she's been promising for so long it's basically become a running joke.
Time For Themselves
In fact, just days after a judge ruled against Jenelle and David in a custody hearing, the couple jetted off to D.C. in order to "take meetings" for the brand.
You may be wondering how Jenelle's makeup line relates to her mistreatment of animals.
What Goes Around ...
Well, both Evans and the cosmetics industry have long been the enemies of animal rights groups, and it seems the good guys scored a major victory today.
Not the Brightest Bulb
Like any responsible entrepreneur, Jenelle failed to keep up with the payments for her company's domain name, and the URL went up for auction.
Activism In Action
Twitter user @textsfrombubba launched a GoFundMe in order to lease the site for a year and keep it out of Jenelle's hands.
Today, she announced that she'll be refunding all donations, as "a good Samaritan" has stepped in and leased the site for a full year.
@textsfrombubba made the announcement today, much to the delight of her fellow Jenelle critics -- "Hatters," as they're known on Twitter.
Much to Look Forward To!
It remains to be seen what sort of content will appear on the site, but it looks as though there will be a focus on animal rights and protection.
Jenelle has yet to respond to the news, and hilariously, it seems she may not be aware that the site is no longer under her control!
Of course, given the excitement over this development on social media, Jenelle probably won't be in the dark for much longer.
Justice For Nugget
Congratulations to @textsfrombubba and the entire Hatter community for putting their anger into action and scoring a victory for animals everywhere!
