WAIT A SECOND!
HOLD THOSE HORSES!
RECONSIDER EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW AND LET'S ALL TAKE A DEEP BREATH TOGETHER, OKAY?
Sorry. We may have gotten carried away there.
It's just that we've spent the last several months assuming the obvious: That Teresa Giudice would file for divorce from Joe Giudice as soon as his deportation was made final and official.
And, look, she very well still may do this.
It's not as though Giudice has spoken very positively about husband Joe or the couple's future of late.
HOWEVER, Teresa did just share a quote online that at least has us thinking that it's conceivable she stays in this marriage after all.
The quote came from life coaches Marc and Angel Chernoff, who apparently exist, and it reads as follows:
Train your mind to see the good in everything. Positivity is a choice. The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.
This could mean many things, of course.
But one thing it could mean is that Teresa is now trying to see the best in her estranged husband.
She's gonna try and choose to look at things positively and she's gonna try to realize that she can control her happiness through the way she looks at the world.
This is one interpretation of those words, at least. It's the first time in ages that we've considered there to be a modicum of hope for her and Joe.
Teresa and her daughters recently left Itay after spending a few days there with Joe.
He has no choice but to live abroad right now while he awaits a decision on his latest deportation appeal, which most experts assume will be rejected.
It has seemed telling that Teresa did not post any snapshots of her and Joe together on her Instagram page either during this trip or shortly afterward.
We took it as just the most recent sign that she's given up on her marriage.
Another sign that she's given up on her marriage? Teresa's past quotes on the subject.
"I hope that's not a decision I have to make, but to pick up my children and just move to another country, I don't think that would be good for my children," she on Bravo this past February.
She's also said that she thinks Joe would cheat on her if the couple lived apart.
Sounds like a totally healthy relationship, doesn't it?
Teresa and Joe, who got married in 1999, addressed the future of their marriage during a tell-all interview they had with Andy Cohen in October.
“If we stay together, we stay together. If we don’t, we don’t,” Joe said at the time. “We’ll see.”
Again: Sounds like a totally healthy relationship, doesn't it?
