We already know some major 90 Day Fiance spoilers about Juliana and Michael, but … what about Juliana’s past?
A lot of fans have questions about Juliana’s job before she met Michael, and so did immigration officials who denied Juliana’s visa.
She was straight-up asked if she was a sex worker. And now, fellow 90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson has something to say.
Juliana was the first to admit that her visa interview did not go smoothly.
She was uncomfortable with the interviewer asking her if she had been a sex worker, though the interviewer said "prostitute," in the past 10 years.
Keep in mind that, ten years ago, she would have been 13.
Michael of course denied that Juliana had worked as anything of the sort, but why exactly did the question come up?
Seeing this story play out on television, 90 Day Fiance alum Ashley Martson opted to weigh in.
Ashley took to her Instagram Stories to shed some light on why this topic comes up during the immigration process.
"They ask everyone if you are a prostitute or if you are coming to the United States to be one," Ashley explains.
"Just saying," her Instagram Story post concludes.
The age difference between Michael Jessen and Juliana Custodio is not the only thing that has fans raising their eyebrows.
A 23-year-old model who’s traveled the world despite being from a poor area of Brazil came as a bit of a surprise.
The news that she met Michael at a yacht party in Croatia when she was just 20 made many wonder if her career went beyond modeling.
Immigration officials were very direct when they asked Juliana if she’d engaged in sex work in the past ten years.
While there is of course nothing wrong with sex work or sex workers, it’s alright for Juliana to have felt personally attacked by the questions.
But, as Ashley pointed out, this is a common immigration question.
In fact, according to others who have been through the visa process, the question can even be asked of children.
In the case of kids, it actually becomes important, as children cannot consent to sex or sex work and would therefore be victims of human trafficking.
Juliana is a beautiful woman and we’re sure that she would be very successful if she were to undertake sex work.
She would also not be the first 90 Day Fiance star accused of sex work — as Anfisa Arkhipchenko was allegedly a cam girl back in Russia.
But there is no reason to believe that this is true for Juliana.
Perhaps the question circulates so widely because fans who resent Juliana for her youth, looks, and good fortune were hoping for "dirt" on her?

In any case, Juliana won’t have to look for new work in the near future.
She and Michael were married in October, and Michael’s ex officiated the wedding.
Juliana, having already spent a lot of Michael’s money in Brazil, can very likely take it easy.
