Tyler Cameron has only good things to say about Gigi Hadid.
The former Bachelor contestant thinks she’s smart and beautiful and fun to hang out with and is clearly quite taken by the supermodel, but one question still remains…
Amid all this talk of Cameron and Hadid knocking boots (that is, having sex) and amid all the sightings of the celebrities hanging out together, fans are remain curious:
Are they actually a couple?
Are they going steady?
Would Cameron refer to Hadid as his girlfriend?
"We’re just friends," Cameron told Entertainment Tonight this week, at last breaking his silence on Hadid and their obvious connection.
"I mean… that’s just where we’re at. Our relationship doesn’t need to be public," he added. "She’s good people, she’s an amazing person and we’re just keeping it friendly."
This doesn’t mean they haven’t seen each other naked, of course.
As you must know by now, Cameron came in second on Hannah Brown’s very recent season of The Bachelorette.
After Hannah dumped selected fiance Jed Wyatt because he had been dishonest with her about a woman back at home, Brown asked Tyler out on a date.
She did this during the After the Final Rose special, live on ABC, sparking major excitement across Bachelor Nation about the future of these two as a couple.
Alas: Cameron and Hadid were seen out on a date just a few days later, prior to also being seen on vacation together in upstate New York, prior to Hadid taking Cameron to her grandmother’s funeral.
That sure sounds like a romantic relationship, doesn’t it?
Almost a serious one, too, no?
Continued Cameron in his chat with ET, playing as coy as possible:
"I’m at the point where I don’t really want to talk about my relationships. I’ve dated publicly, so… I’m trying to date privately and I’m not in love with anybody right now.
"I’m in love with myself."
The formerly Florida-based contractor just moved to New York City, where he plans to focus on his modeling career.
"That’s going really well. I’ve got some cool campaigns coming out too, so [I’m] excited for that," he told the outlet.
Wait, Tyler is trying to be a model? And Hadid already is a highly successful model?!?
"She’s a little bit more big-time than I am," Tyler joked of the supermodel, claiming he doesn’t talk to his occasional lover about the business. "She’s pretty good at what she does."
Brown, for her part, is currently a competitor on Dancing with the Stars.
She previously hinted, however, that the way things ended (or perhaps never really started) between her and Cameron hasn’t been easy.
"I’m struggling," the beloved Bachelorette wrote on Instagram a few weeks back, adding in more painful detail:
"Since last August, I’ve been a pageant queen, a bachelor contestant, and the Bachelorette. "I’ve been in love with multiple people, I got engaged, I broke off an engagement. And I shared it all with millions of people."
And then she had to watch Cameron fall for another, pretty famous woman.
"I am not complaining about this past year of adventures," Hannh clarified. "However, it’s uncharted territory for me, and it’s been hard to really process what the heck is going on."
We totally understand.
