On Monday, we reported on the surprising news that Javi Marroquin and Lauren Comeau had called it quits following a nasty fight at the couple's home in Dover, Delaware.
Police were called to the scene, but when Javi's 911 call was released earlier today, it raised more questions than it answered.
It turns out Javi called the cops not on his fiancee, but on his sister.
Yes, according to the tape obtained by Radar Online, Marroquin requested that police remove his sister, 31-year-old elementary school teacher Lidia Marroquin, from his home.
"I’m trying to get someone out of my house. I’m trying to go to sleep, but they won’t leave," Javi tells the dispatcher.
Asked for the identity of the unwanted guest, Javi (who identifies himself by his legal name of Jose) reveals that it was none other than his older sis:
It's an unexpected turn of events, and not only because Lidia has appeared on Teen Mom 2 in the past, and she and Javi seemed to have a close relationship.
It had been widely assumed that Javi called the cops on Lauren.
While that didn't turn out to be the case, insiders confirm Lauren was involved in the messy events of that night, and she and Javi are no longer together.
Needless to say, there's still a lot of mystery surrounding the case.
We'll continue to keep you updated as new information rolls in, and with any luck, we'll eventually figure out what the hell happened that night.
In the meantime, check out the latest update from Javi himself.
Marroquin posted the photo below to his Instagram page on Tuesday, seemingly in order to send the message to fans that all is well.
Of course, some fans think it's a bit early for inspirational quotes.
“If you ever feel like you’re losing everything, remember that trees lose their leaves every year and they still stand tall and wait for better days to come," reads the whiteboard that appears in Javi's pic.
We get that he's trying to be optimistic, but the timing is a bit strange for a quote about better days ahead.
Javi and Lauren got engaged back in June, but insiders say that's definitively over now.
Both parties have been tight-lipped about the events of this past weekend.
Marroquin's ex-wife, Kailyn Lowry, has been respectful of the couple's privacy, but she did issue a statement on the matter:
"Even though I’ve said things in the past, it’s not my place to comment on their relationship or issues,” she told Us.
“I wish him the best whether they’re together or not.”
We'll continue to provide updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.
