For a majority of Little People, Big World Season 14, Matt Roloff and Amy Roloff have not been getting along.
They've been clashing over the future of their family farm, with Matt leaning toward selling the property and moving to Arizona with girlfriend Caryn Chandler...
... and Amy showing a bit of hesitation about what to do next.
Just a couple weeks ago, Matt complained that Amy was holding his life hostage.
These two were married for nearly 30 years. They share four children. They remain mostly amicable business partners, even after their divorce in 2016.
Matt and Amy may have their problems now and again, but that doesn't mean they are gonna sit around and let strangers gang up on their former spouse over social media.
The Little People, Big World patriarch just made that abundantly clear.
Earlier this week, Matt shared a beautiful photo of himself, two of his sons, two dogs and his two grandchildren on Instagram.
He included with this image (below) a lengthy caption that defended Amy and other members of his family against persistent attacks from pathetic Internet bullies.
"Most of you should know that I don’t have a hired gun to manage my social media accounts ... everything that I post is from me directly," Matt wrote to open this message, adding:
"Like everyone.. sometimes I’m in a more tolerant mood and other times not as much. Either way I need to repeat ... "
"I don’t allow four letter name calling (swear words) or unnecessary mean comments about Amy, or any of my family or friends."
"I can’t possibly catch and delete every mean spirited comment."
Matt went on to warn followers that he has no patience for their vitriol.
He loves his family members (Amy included) and isn't about to let critics come between them.
"There simply isn’t enough time in my day," he continued.
"With that said, I have banned and deleted a dozen or more followers in the past few weeks for one reason or another. Once you’re gone ...your gone. I don’t have a process to have you back."
Roloff concluded by sending a pointed message and quoting a psalm:
I do allow spirited conversation and differing opinions especially about the show and what you see on TV because most of you are intelligent kind hearted people that understand we are a real family...
but we are sharing our life through the lens of a narrow TV camera. With that said, thank-you all (those that are still with us lol) for being so kind and warm to me and my family while we share our amazing journey thru life!
This is the day the Lord has made.. rejoice and be glad in it” Psalm 118:24..
This is so nice to see from Matt Roloff.
For whatever unfortunate reason, Amy really has been the subject of various attacks over the recent months.
She's been accused of ruining Little People, Big World and of holding Matt back. We really have no idea why this is the case.
By all accounts, she and Matt have managed to get along extremely well for three years after splitting up.
Especially when you consider they still work together and live mere yards away from each other on the farm.
Amy is dating Chris Marek, Matt is dating Chandler and both sides seem very accepting of the other's relationships.
It's not something that always happens in these cases, and it's really very impressive and ought to be applauded.
And yet complete strangers wish to hurl shade at these folks, whom they've never met, for reasons unknown.
Simply because of some impression they have of them from a couple episodes of an edited television show?
Seriously, how sad is that?!?
