It is officially over between Lady Gaga and Christian Carino.
"It just didn't work out. Relationships sometimes end," a source tells People, adding that they actually split "a bit ago."
"There's no dramatic story."
Speculation began that the couple's engagement was off after fans noticed that Gaga was ringless at the Grammy awards on February 10.
She didn't even address her husband-to-be during her acceptance speech after her song Shallow won Best Pop Duo or Group Performance award.
Carino did not attend the Grammys, even though he came along to all the other big Hollywood events with the singer, including the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Golden Globes.
Where she accepted multiple trophies for her first movie, A Star Is Born.
All of the rumors were quickly settled on Valentine's Day when the Joanne singer skipped out on sharing romantic photos of her with her fiance.
Instead, Gaga showed off her new tattoo which pays tribute to her role in the popular musical drama.
"Happy Valentine's Day. A tattoo toast to "la vie en rose" by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose," Gaga wrote on Instagram.
The finished design is an outline of a single rose on a long stem which stretches up her back with "la vie en rose" written beside it.
At Elle's 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration at the Four Season Hotel Los Angeles in October 2018, Gaga shared her engagement news by thanking her "fiance Christian" during her speech.
People confirmed that Gaga and the talent agent were dating in February 2017 after the two were spotted kissing at a Kings of Leon concert.
And after two short years together, the actress called it quits once again on an engagement.
After ending her five-year relationship with Taylor Kinney, "she wasn't expecting to find love with Christian so quickly," a source told People in October.
"But things just became serious very fast. Christian is a good, grounding force and understands her career."
So why does the star keep running away from her happily ever after?
Gaga has previously admitted that she has a hard time balancing her relationships along with her success.
"It's a sad day when I'm doing the Super Bowl and I'm so excited to do it, but I can't help but realize that when I sold 10 million records, I lost Matt [Williams]. I sold 30 million, I lose Luc [Carl]...
"I get the movie [A Star Is Born ], I lose Taylor [Kinney]," Gaga shared in her 2017 Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, according to US Weekly.
"It's like a turnover."
Guess she can't have it all?
Gaga and Christian have yet to comment on their split.
