When Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna broke up, we initially assumed they would get back together, just as they had the previous 47 times they called it quits.
When that didn't happen, we at least assumed that it would be the end of the couple's short-lived reality show.
Sure enough, E! announced that Rob & Chyna had been canceled last month and many assumed that Blac's brief career as a television star had come to an end.
But Blac didn't let the least-successful member of TV's most famous family get her pregnant just so she could quietly return to her career as a ... whatever she did before.
Like her first baby daddy, Tyga, Blac looked at the Kardashian family and saw a one-way ticket out of Obscurity Town, and she's not about to let a little thing like the fact that she and Rob are no longer a couple prevent her starring in a show based on their lives.
Unfortunately, like the rest of the freakin' world, Kris Jenner sees right through Blac.
Radar Online is reporting today that Blac and Rob (presumably under coercion from Blac) have made it clear that they're willing to film a second season of their show, and surprisingly, the network seems willing to give them another chance.
But there's just one obstacle standing in their way - and it looks just like the world's most famous momager:
“Kris is controlling everything,” a source close to the family tells Radar.
“It’s all politics and it is bizarre. That show got huge ratings. ‘KUWTK’ is tanking in the ratings. It should be a no brainer for Kris, but it isn’t.”
Yes, Keeping Up With the Kardashians ratings are on the decline, and if there's one thing Kris Jenner loves more than money, it's ratings.
(Because ratings bring in money.)
But Kris also loves being in charge and ensuring that no one else cashes in on the empire she worked so hard to create.
Blac is good for ratings, but right now she's like a star player who's been benched for violating team rules:
“When it comes down to money, Chyna brings it in," the insider says.
"But Kris is in charge. And she isn’t moving forward at all.”
Check out E! this fall for Kris Is In Charge, a new series from the producers of Keeping Up With the Kardashians!
We're joking, but we would be 0% shocked if that became a real thing.
