It's official: Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell will do more than just televise their wedding.
They will televise their entire lives!
In a first for this beloved ABC franchise, Higgins and Bushnell have agreed to star in a spinoff, announcing today that Freeform will soon air a program titled "Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After."
The Bachelor has already led to Bachelor in Paradise... while, technically, The Bachelorette is also a follow-up to the original.
But this is the first time a couple formed on the reality show will star in their very own series.
What is the motivation for having cameras chronicle their relationship?
“After you walk away from The Bachelor, it’s not like your life becomes private," Higgins tells Us Weekly. "People still find out what you’re doing, so it’s not changing our life to be public."
“We’re already used to sharing our lives with everyone else, so we thought, ‘Why not?’ It’s a fun way to share life after The Bachelor.”
We're somehow guessing that a sizable paycheck doesn't hurt matters, either.
Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After will be filmed in Denver this summer and air some time this fall.
The pair met and fell in love on the latest season of The Bachelor, which ended with Higgins asking for Bushnell's hand in marriage.
Since then, Bushnell has moved into Ben's Colorado home and Higgins has considered a run for Congress.
If he chooses to run, expect that journey to be a major storyline on his upcoming show.
