Good news, Lindsay Lohan: Tina Fey may actually have some work for you!

The 30 Rock star spoke to reporters after her victory at the SAG Awards Sunday night and offered up this amazing tease: a musical based on the movie Mean Girls is in the works.

“I’m trying to develop it, actually, with my husband, who does all the music for 30 Rock. And I think Paramount’s onboard.”

The 2004 comedy, penned by Fey, starred Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried.

A stage production would reportedly bring back characters such as Cady Heron and Regina George, although new, younger actresses of course would come on board to take over these roles.

In 2007, Fey seemingly joked about the same idea, saying at the time: “I thought the movie in some ways mostly appealed to young girls and gay men, and I feel like that could be a recipe for success on Broadway.”
