Kate Gosselin Today Show Nonsense: Hurt By Jon, Wearing Wedding Ring, Hanging in There
Appearing on the Today Show in her first TV interview since announcing her separation from Jon in June, Kate Gosselin says she ... is hurt by her ex.
Shocking revelation right there.
Asked about Jon's girlfriend Hailey Glassman, the daughter of Kate's plastic surgeon, the mulleted mother of eight said, "I was shocked, but those things... to be very honest, that's his life and they don't affect me directly at this point."
"It is hurtful. Very hurtful. To be very honest, the most hurtful part is when his decisions directly affect our children. That's the hardest part for me."
Asked if they ever would have split if it were up to her, Kate said "Gosh, who can go back and change? Ideally, parents stay married." Really? Thanks.
"I go back very often to our vow renewal in Hawaii. In that moment, I meant those vows. And there was no option for us other than to be together."
Okay then. The world's most grating human being was equally distant when asked what role she may have played in the disintegration of her marriage.
"Nobody's perfect. I was not perfect," Kate Gosselin said. "Obviously, it takes two. I don't know. What would I go back and change? It's hard to say."
These days, Kate Gosselin is doing "as well as can be expected."
"I am determined to hang in there. What life hands me, I am going to do and deal with. My focus still, as I've always said, is the health and well being of my children, as well as myself." Still, she said she wakes up and feels "a lot of failure."
Her eyes teared up when asked why she still wears her wedding ring.
"For them," she said. "I don't want to upset them. While I've been very real and as honest as I need to be, I don't want to shock them. I've walked slowly through this with them. As they've asked questions, I've answered them."
Kate said she didn't "remember" when Jon moved out, but that the split had been gradual, adding that their "hopes and dreams had become different."
In other words, he hoped and dreamed that one day, he would be freed from her evil clutches and able to go to town on anything else with a pulse. We're just glad Kate wasn't directly asked about last week's Stephanie Santoro rumors.

I agree with the comment that Angel B. made. We can critize and judge to why this marriage failed but God makes the impossible...possible. No marriage is perfect. A relationship that requires work these days is too inconvenient for most. Divore has become so taboo and quick to become the solution. Happiness is within and without God their is no self-love. Jon is responsible for his own happiness and the same for Kate.
I would personally like to see them each go through individualized Christian counseling. Hopefully, this will help restore their faith in God to better their relationship with one another and thier children. Each of them need to feel at peace with whatever decision they make.
Just from my own experience in my 14 year marriage, I put my husband on the back burner for the first 6 years of own children's lives and expected us to be strong. But, I found myself 12 years in the marriage living with my spouse like a roommate taking care of the kids. If you don't

Do you watch the show much? If you did you would see she gets cranky and tired of things being done wrong by ANYONE, not just Jon. It just so happens she's more vocal and demeaning to him when he does anything wrong. Ever wonder why no one comes around anymore to help with the kids? Because they got tired of being treated like sh%&t, for trying to help her. Wnder why she doesn't have a housekeeper or nanny? It's not like they can't afford one! It's because she's too anal. Sorry if I come off rude, but she's created a monster that she doesn't know how to control-herself!

I do not know what happened with Jon. He always wanted to have his wife all to himself. like riding motorcycle with her and other special moments. I just think he just wanted more time with Kate and with 8 children that is not possible. He is spending all his time with these losers who want 15 min of fame and he can't see that? Stay strong Kate..

I pray that God will restore their marriage and rekindle the love they had for each other; and that those adorable kids would be so wrapped up in His love and not feel all the hurt surrounding them.And when all is said and done they would all be drawn closer to the amazing God that loves us all more than we could ever imagine :)

I think she is a normal everyday mother who gets cranky and tired of things being done wrong by an immature adult male, I have one child and cannot keep it together some times, I give her alot of credit and he is a loser and being very disrespectful to his children and in the end when they are older and understand he will lose them just when he wants them back in his life. You go Kate, stay strong.

Well did he move out this year or last year? She can't even remember the month? What about the season? How awfully convenient she can't remember the little details that might sway opinion of her...although her fans seem quite willing to believe whatever she wants them to. Sick.

I feel absolutely sad for them both. Jon and Kate. I don't know if anyone else can see it in their eyes, sadness and anger. I agree with Kate, it probably would have happened camera or no camera. Jon has said many things that had me alerted that he was not a happy hollywood star. It is a job and it is a 7 days a week job. It's not Jon. But, why so public? I would have given up and I give Kate and her children credit for her courage and spunk and faith. God Bles.
