Kate Gosselin is a reality TV star with eight children and one possibly-cheating husband.
She and Jon Gosselin were at the center of Jon & Kate Plus 8 on TLC, before all Hell broke loose. Many watched the program just to throw things at their TV whenever Kate is on screen. She constantly berated her husband and acts like a self-absorbed whiner more often than not.
Kate has written a book about her family called "Eight Little Faces."
Supposedly, she also has a cook book on the way, even though we never see her in the kitchen. Kate has been accused of infidelity, as rumors abound that she's porked the family's bodyguard.
That seems very possible, but she's now free to bang anyone she pleases. Jon and Kate got divorced in the summer of 2009 and she is now the sole star of the series. The title has been changed to Kate Plus 8.

Initially i enjoyed the tv program. But watching kate is
a like watching a train wreck.

I don't agree that she is a greedy tyrant. If you had eight kids you might become a bit of a control freak trying to maintain order and organization. As far as the greed-uh, why not enjoy the money you make and provide for your family for the future while maintaining a comfortable lifestyle? Who wouldn't do that?
For all those totally ridiculous people who believe the children are being exploited-erh, Hayes, Little People Big World, Duggars...As if. Oh yes, save them from their nannies, chef prepared food, big hosue, large yard, toys and college funds! LOL Pleeeaassseee.
People need to realize that nothing is ever reality but a perpetuation of an image within a story arc created by a network. I can't believe how many people are ignorant to that and believ what they are watching is a true representation. It is a manufactured slice of what a network decides to be relevant material. D'uhhhh.
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, John's a lecherous childish wimp of a man. Whether or not Kate is a b!tch to him, if he weren't happy with the relationship he should have gone about it a different way. but who knows, maybe it was over years ago and they were just 'acting'. Who the hell knows.
Either way everyone involved will be fine-one way or another, sooner or later.

I have 3 kids and a husband and I look at myself as Kate doing everything. As in Laundry, meals, cleaning and much more. It is not very often you see Jon just go so something without being told, jus tlike every other man in this world. The need a little nagging and they deserve everything they get. I think you need give Kate a break and realize Jon would have nothing if it wasn't for Kate writing books among other things. And who cares if Kate was engaged before Jon that does happen and it is OK ...Deal with it!
A marriage is a learning process along with raising children there is no book and I think they do a great job raising those 8 kids. I watch the old episodes and see how much they love each other and they will over come this. Kate looks great! Good for her she deserves too! Flaunt what you have girl!

For a long time I thought I was the only one who thought Kate's behavior was over the top...or that TLC was continuing to run the show because perhaps they thought she represented the majority of the demographic of mothers her age. What was once a really endearing show that could be used to show families at home, no matter how bad you think you have it, someone's got it worse type of deal, has turned into another disgusting dramatization of how self-obsession can take down a family in instant. Kate, I thought yours was a church going family...

to moxypox. They did attend church, at the first assembly of God,but due to the adverse publicity, the church asked them not to come back. As far as the affair rumors are concerned, public record shows Steve Neilds wife filed for devorce in sept of 2008 after she found out about his affair with Kate. He's officially divorced in March of this year. the Gosselins sepsrated over a year ago, so really is fake. Kate was confronted in January by Jon and Kate left him for Steve Neild. Jons lost his wife, his house, and maybe his marriage. Or maybe this is one of the biggest PR shams of all time. They are together and married for the show. When they are legally separated who knows? Oh, by the way Steve Neild now lives with Kate in that brand new house, Check his public record, and you"ll see where he lives.
