We all know Ryan Lochte is really good at lying about getting robbed in Brazil.
But how is he at the Foxtrot?!?
That question was answered on Monday night.

The controversial swimmer made his Dancing with the Stars debut in the helpful arms of Cheryl Burke, decked out in a white suit and smiling broadly throughout his routine.
You can check it out below.
The actual performance, of course, was quickly overshadowed by what took place when Carrie Ann Inaba started to critique Lochte and Burke:
Two protestors emerged from the audience and went after the swimmer. It was pretty nuts.

Security guards fortunately tackled the men, who were wearing anti-Ryan Lochte t-shirts at the time of their ridiculous, dangerous action.
After mostly blowing off the incident on air (Lochte just mumbled that he was a bit "hurt" before turning his focus to the actual routine), the Olympian spoke to E! News about what happened.
"It’s hard," he told E! News’ Sibley Scoles, adding that it felt like "someone reached inside and ripped my heart out and stepped on it."
Here is a look at what ABC viewers saw then the attack took place:

And here’s a different angle of the attack, along with Lochte’s initial response to it:

Pretty insane, huh?
"I’m hurt for Ryan," Burke told Tom Bergeron after the commercial break. "He’s sweet, he’s kind. He’s working his butt off. I hope people give him a chance."
It’s true that lost amidst this chaos was Lochte’s actual performance on the Dancing with the Stars premiere.
