Last week, viewers of The Real Housewives of Orange County saw Kelly Dodd whack Shannon Beador on the head with a MALLET.
She meant it as a funny prank, but folks, that's assault. Hospital staff told Shannon that she can press charges.
This week, we see what the tests tell Shannon -- and it turns out that she wasn't just making up her terrible headache.
A friendship suffers a falling out while new social bonds form.
Vicki Gunvalson arrives just in time to comfort Shannon and confront Kelly.
But worst of all is that Kelly clearly hasn't learned her lesson -- because she strikes again. Take a look below:
They're still dealing with the fallout from last week
Part of a cleansing ritual that Shannon underwent involved standing in a large metal bowl while wearing a smaller metal bowl. Not part of the ritual? Kelly Dodd whacking her on the head with a mallet.
Shannon was pissed ... and also in pain
After hearing a horror story from Tamra about an ex's minor head bump resulting in leaking spinal fluid, Shannon was even more worried.
Shannon went to urgent care
Shannon went (with Tamra by her side) out of an abundance of caution. This week, the CT scan revealed that Shannon had a mild concussion.
Gina understood why Shannon was pissed
To an astonished Kelly, she said: "Do I think she's being over-dramatic for the situation? Yes. Do I think you shouldn't have hit her on the head? Yes."
Kelly has strong feelings about this
"I knocked some sense into that bitch!" Kelly declared. Unfortunately, her next act was to reenact the blow ... on Gina.
Gina was NOT amused
"Don't f--king touch me, Kelly. Don't f--king touch me. Now I'm f--king pissed. Don't do that," she admonished Kelly. "Now I'm f--king out. Don't f--king do that because I already have a f--king court case right now. F--king bitch." She returned to her room to pack her bags.
Kelly offered an "apology"
First, she had to be coached and urged to do so. Second, Kelly felt that she hadn't done anything wrong, so it was a total non-apology.
This was a disaster
This resulted in an even more intense feud between the two women Gina told Kelly that she's her own worst enemy and makes a fool out of herself. Kelly taunted her about her DUI.
Oh, and then ...
Kelly told Gina that she's unaccomplished and started boasting about her own financial well-being. Oh, boy.
Emily tried to help
Emily followed Gina into her room as she continued packing, trying to smooth things over. Instead, unfortunately, the two women got into a much-needed but poorly times conversation.
It's about emotional unavailability
Emily wanted support for her burlesque show. It was supposed to be for her 10 year anniversary with her husband, but of course Shane wasn't even there. But Gina wasn't there for it and hadn't been returning her texts and calls.
Gina's dealing with her own drama
Part of that drama is her ugly divorce (one that was bound to get much uglier a few months after this). Another part is her legal issues, like her DUI.
But Emily felt abandoned
She can't understand why Gina has turned to Shannon for emotional support when, just a year earlier, Shannon had been so nasty to her and actively scoffed at the idea of friendship. That was before they bonded over unhappy divorces, of course.
Gina thinks that she knows what that's about
Gina thinks that Emily REALLY feels abandoned by Shane, who's just being a huge dick to her, but is taking it out on Gina. That's ... fair.
Unfortunately, things got worse
Emily and Gina's issues may have to do more with outside influences than with each other but, with the extremely poor timing of their conversation, they ended it on sour terms. Yikes.
Vicki only shows up for 24 hours, because she's just a Friend of the Housewives so her role is like that of a child at one of those weddings where kids are invited to the reception but only until 10pm. Sorry, was that too specific? Anyway, she naturally rushed to Tamra and Shannon.
This brings us back to Shannon, of course
Kelly calls Tamra to express her lack of sympathy for Shannon. Tamra, being one of the Tres Amigas, has Kelly on speakerphone. Shannon eventually tries to interject, revealing the deception. Kelly just says "called it!" and hangs up the phone.
Kelly still thinks Shannon's being dramatic
"Shannon is an extreme narcissistic bitch," Kelly vents furiously. "She loves people to feel sorry for her, and people need to see that she's a schemer. She's manipulative, and it needs to be stopped."
If you don't want someone to be overly dramatic, don't flagrantly violate obvious personal boundaries, and definitely don't ASSAULT them. Don't throw a snowball at them, don't shove them, and in this case, don't whack them on the head with a mallet. These are lessons most people learn by kindergarten, Kelly.
Moving on ...
Emily chatted with Tamra and Shannon, and Tamra raised the awkward question: why weren't they invited to her Vegas show?
Emily straight up thought that they wouldn't have wanted to come anyway.
But that's not true
The two women spoke to Emily about how they felt like she didn't open up a great deal, and how that made it difficult for her to make new friends.
The talk worked
Wonder of wonders, Emily agreed and apologized. We just hope that she can make nice with Gina again as easily.
Finally, Vicki delivered a speech
She wanted to address the group, without naming any names, about how important it is that none of them ever intentionally harm another
Kelly just LOVED that
She stood up, furiously, accusing: "We don't have any intentions of hurting each other when you ask for dirt on me? You don't have intentions? Those are intentions. You were looking for dirt..."
So ... lesson NOT learned, we guess
Hopefully, we'll get to see Kelly chill out. But if she doesn't calm down during yoga, when IS she going to relax enough to realize that she crossed some lines?
