Sawyer Fredericks has done it, folks.
On a finale of The Voice that included the coaches paying tribute to B.B. King and Christina Aguilera doing amazing impressions of her fellow superstar singers, the most pressing development, of course, was this:
Fredericks overtook finalists Meghan Linsey, Joshua Davis and Koryn Hawthorne to be crowned Season 8 champion .
The folk singer was the youngest contestant of the season, but many still considered him the favorite from the get-go, ever since he first took the stage to sing Soggy Bottom Boys’ “I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow” for his blind audition.
