Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin have had their fair share of disagreements.
Like, a lot of them — that’s why they got divorced.
But in the past few years, things seemed to have gotten better between them.
That’s what we thought, anyway.
Now, thanks to some new comments from both Kailyn and Javi, we know that behind the scenes, things are pretty awful.

So Much for That
This is a photo of Kailyn and Javi together a few years ago, after their divorce. As you can see, they did get along well, even after the split.
Clarification
Well, for at least a little bit, anyway.
A Look Back
They divorced for a lot of reasons — they’ve both accused each other of cheating, he blamed her for a miscarriage, and also they never really seemed to even like each other all that much.
Oh Wow
Kailyn has admitted that she did cheat on Javi with Chris Lopez, and right around the time the divorce was finalized, she became pregnant with Lux, her third child and her first with Chris.
Goodness Gracious
But about six months after Lux was born, Kail and Javi hooked up for a bit. So there’s that.
To Say the Least
The whole thing is just really, really messy, that’s what we’re getting at with all of this.
Oh No
Like, so messy that at one point Javi broke into Kailyn’s house and she filed an order of protection against him.
Exhausting
These two go back and forth so much that after that fiasco, they worked on writing a book together — a book that was ultimately scrapped because they got on bad terms again.
Huh
We’ve kind of been under the impression that they were doing OK, but maybe that’s just because all of her “let me tell you about my evil ex” energy was focused on Chris.
Surprise!
Because now we know for sure that all is not well between these two former lovers.
Let’s Begin
OK, so the background on this new development: Kail usually gets along with Jo Rivera, the father of her first child, and she and his wife, Vee, are friends now.
Neat
They’re actually such good friends that they’ve just started a podcast.
Awww
To promote the podcast, Kailyn shared this photo of herself with Jo and Vee — it’s nice, right? After all, there was a time where they didn’t get along well either.
Here Comes Trouble
Instead of just appreciating the picture, one of her followers commented with “Is everyone ignoring the fact that she’s super rude to her other son’s stepmom? You can praise “coparenting” all day but obviously it’s not a top priority to Kail.”
Sorry, Lauren
That comment refers to Lauren Comeau, Javi’s fiancée. You’ll never believe this, but Kailyn doesn’t like her.
Not Having It
But Kail took the time to respond to that comment, writing “Wellllllllp, first of all. That’s not Lincoln’s stepmom. Second of all, you have NO IDEA what goes on off camera and the reasons why it’ll never be the same type of relationship as I have with Vee. But go off sis.”
Hmmm
So that’s an interesting reply, right? She’s basically saying “I have reasons for not liking Lauren, but I’m not going to tell you what they are, but trust me with this one.” And that really doesn’t work.
Come On
Of course she’s not obligated to share anything about her personal life that she doesn’t want to share, but then why comment in the first place if you’re just going to say something like that?
Weird
Also, isn’t it kind of odd that she went out of her way to say that Lauren isn’t Lincoln’s stepmother? Javi and Lauren have been together for almost three years at this point and they have a child of their own together. They’re engaged, they live together, Lauren takes care of him when it’s Javi’s turn to have him … she’s his stepmother.
More Drama
A screenshot of Kailyn’s comment made its way to a Teen Mom Instagram page … and wouldn’t you know it, Javi just happened to see it.
Not One Bit
And he did not appreciate it.
Going Off
“We stay out of all of this drama and 100% mind our own business,” he commented. “There is nothing ‘off cameras’ that creates drama. We don’t film.”
Fair Enough
Pretty solid defense, right? But he wasn’t done.
Doing It for the Kids
“It’s about the kids and that’s what we keep at it,” he continued. “Lauren helps me out tremendously when it comes to taking care of Lincoln. You guys hate on Lauren if she does too much or if she doesn’t do enough. Never hesitates when Isaac wants to come over.”
So Sweet
(Real quick, isn’t it so nice to hear that he still spends time with Isaac? They were really close when he and Kailyn were married, so it’s good that they’re still able to see each other.)
And That’s That
Javi finished his comment with “I’ve paid for my mistakes but Lauren doesn’t deserve this backlash at all.”
What Next?
As of now, Kailyn hasn’t responded — we wouldn’t be surprised if she does, but it would also make sense if she just let it go, considering how most people seem to be on Javi’s side with this.
Team Lauren?
Really the only thing people have against Lauren is that she’s involved with an MLM, and a lot of people wished she’d have left Javi after he cheated on her last year.
Sad But True
Meanwhile, Kailyn is known to start drama with people for no real reason, Like, a lot.
Tough Call?
So while we always love a juicy bit of gossip, we’re inclined to believe Javi on this one.

When this story was first developing, we asked who you thought was telling the truth … but now we know quite a bit more about what’s been doing on between Kail and Javi.

And boy, is it a mess and a half.
Not a Good Look
So right after all those comments about Lauren came out, a clip from this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2 was released. And in the clip, Kail had some very interesting things to say about Javi.
Venting
In the video, she was venting to a producer about a conversation she’d had with Javi — they’d arranged to meet in between their towns for Lincoln’s drop-offs, but Javi only wanted to do it when he was picking Lincoln up. He wanted Kailyn to drive all the way to his town when it was time for her to pick him up.
Real Mature
She said that Javi texted her and told her “I’m not gonna do anything nice for you because you’re mean to me and Lauren,” which sounds more like an elementary school argument than a conversation between two former spouses about their child, but sure, whatever.
Whoa
She was annoyed because she hadn’t even been talking about Lauren, but then she dropped the bombshell: she said she told Javi “You are going to treat me like this, really? Is that why you tried to f-ck me on Tuesday? In a Wawa parking lot? While your girlfriend’s home with your son.”
RIP Everyone
IN A WAWA PARKING LOT, JAVI? IS THAT WHAT IT’S COME TO?
Inconceivable
She explained that she was at the Wawa (an east coast chain of convenience stores, if you’re unfamiliar) pumping gas when Javi pulled in, opened his door, and said “I want to f-ck you, plain and simple.” She said that she just said “Bye, Javi,” but it seems like he’s persistent.
Oh Dang
Kailyn claimed that anytime she’s in Dover, which is Javi’s neck of the woods, he hollers at her. She read text messages, and the camera even showed her phone — he asked if she wanted him “to slide,” and when she said no he asked if they could meet at her office later.
Disrespect
The whole thing was that she felt like he was being disrespectful about the drop-offs, so she wanted to disrespect him back by sharing all of that information.

And it sure did seem to work!
Javi Goes Off (Again)
A Teen Mom gossip page on Instagram shared that clip of Kailyn exposing Javi, and he left a lengthy comment on the post that began with “I stopped filming to live my life normally cause I’ve realized my kids life when they get older will suffer if I continue to be a part of this tv show.”
So Many Mistakes
“Not only did my mistakes play out on the show which I’ve had to live (and continue to live with) but I know one day I’d have to explain to my kids all my actions,” he said.
Not Worth It
“Those episodic checks weren’t worth it to me,” he continued, “and I can make a living without it. None of this is worth it to me.”
2016 Javi Has Left the Building
He also wrote that he’s “not about this drama back and forth on social media cause if the 2016 Javi came out I’d shut down every podcast out on Apple, Spotify. Whatever other platform people have podcasts on. All of that. And that’s a big fact.”
Bummer
But instead of doing that, he’s “gonna go back to minding my business and living my life with my family and being the absolute best dad I can be.”
Don’t Even!
He finished his message with “Let this be the last time my name or anyone in my family’s name is mentioned on any podcast. Show. Tweet. Snap. MySpace. Whatever. Cc: @teenmom and everybody associated with that show. Don’t even text me.”
Questionable
So that seemed like a really goofy, unnecessarily long way of saying “I’m doing my best, and I could say bad things that Kailyn has done too but I won’t.” Which is an interesting move.
Wow
He didn’t deny Kailyn’s claims at all and he didn’t even really address them, unless he’s perhaps insinuating that she has taken him up on his offers “to slide”?
Something to Consider
After all, when the texts were shown, she didn’t completely shut him down, she told him that he couldn’t come over because she had to leave to sign a lease.
Another Possibility
Or he could just be saying a whole bunch of nonsense to try to make himself look better. That could be happening here too.
Being the Bigger Person
It’s also worth noting that he hasn’t publicly said anything else about this, but that Kailyn has publicly apologized to Lauren.
Apologies
On Twitter, she wrote that Lauren “didn’t deserve the humiliation she was put through due to a situation between Javi & me.” She clarified that she’d spoken with her privately as well, but that she thought she deserved a public apology.
What a Ride

So what comes next? Will Lauren actually leave Javi this time? Will 2016 Javi end up making an appearance? Will Kailyn share even more receipts about Javi and his wicked ways?
