It's been over a month since Jenelle Evans filed for divorce from David Eason.
And in that time, Jenelle's life has changed considerably.
For starters, she no longer resides on the expansive property in rural North Carolina that she once shared with Eason.
No, that tract -- which the Easons famously dubbed "The Land" -- is in David's hands for now.
Though that may change once the former couple begins hammering out the terms of their divorce settlement.
For her part, Jenelle has relaunched her life in Nashville, and fans got their first look at her new beginning on Instagram over the holiday weekend.
Take a look:
Thanksgiving at Cracker Barrel
Jenelle Evans reunited with her son Jace over the holiday weekend. The former Teen Mom 2 star recently relocated to Nashville amid a nasty divorce.
Spotted In the Wild
The photo was first posted by a Cracker Barrel employee who served the Evans clan on Thanksgiving.
An Unexpected Surprise
"Hey Yall ! Got to take care of @PBandJenelley_1 and her family on my BUSY shift @CrackerBarrel in Nashville on Thursday," tweeted the employee, whose name is Gabrielle Smith.
Babs In the House!
"Such an amazing nice family plus barb was there," Smith added. "I hope my service was wonderful!"
Spreading the Word
Jenelle's been lying low on social media lately, but she clearly didn't mind the holiday attention. Not only did she retweet Smith's pic, she tweeted an article about their encounter.
Gobbling Up the Gratitude
Earlier that day, Jenelle broke her Twitter silence by sharing a holiday message with fans.
Turning a Corner
"Happy Thanksgiving! Thankful for the amazing kids I have and grateful for finally finding happiness within myself,” she tweeted.
As you're probably aware, it's been quite a tumultuous few months for the former Teen Mom 2 star.
Calling It Quits
On Halloween, Jenelle announced that she had separated from her husband of two years, David Eason.
A Welcome Turn of Events
The news that Jenelle had moved out of state and filed for divorce was applauded by both fans and critics of Jenelle's, as there had long been fears that Eason's explosive temper would result in one of her kids getting hurt.
Breaking the News
“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” Evans began her announcement.
"Like anyone else I want what’s best for my kids and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” Evans continued.
“Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids,” she added. “Today I’ve filed papers to start that process.”
After first, David publicly begged Jenelle for a second chance, but lately, he's been claiming that he's glad she left.
The decision came after months of turmoil in the Easons' marriage, with the situation eventually deteriorating to the point that it cost Jenelle her job and custody of her kids.
The Nugget Incident
The final round of trouble began when David shot and killed Jenelle's puppy, Nugget, during one of his famous fits of rage.
This prompted a CPS investigation that eventually cost Evans custody of her children. It also cost her her lucrative MTV gig.
Standing By Her Man
Despite her decision to stand by David, Jenelle was eventually able to regain custody of her children. Her job, however, remains a thing of the past.
Coming to Her Senses
In October, Jenelle finally recognized the error of her ways and fled the property she had formerly shared with David.
A New Start
With her kids in tow, she fled first to New York City, then to Nashville, where she has reportedly rented an apartment.
The Case For Jace
Unfortunately, this meant leaving behind her eldest son Jace, who has been in the care of his grandmother since infancy.
Fortunately, it looks as though the entire family was reunited over Thanksgiving weekend!
It's unclear at present if Jace and Barbara have relocated to Nashville, or if they were merely visiting for the holiday.
One Thing After Another
Either way, after a succession of rough patches, it seems Jenelle has finally found a modicum of stability in her life.
We've been as critical of Jenelle as anyone over the years, but we wish her all the best as she begins a new life free from the partner who's been holding her back so long.
