David Eason is in trouble with the law and, it very strongly seems, is also in trouble with Jenelle Evans.
Neither of these statements ought to come as a shock, we know.
But the reason why David Eason is in trouble with both of these parties may be at least a tad surprising, even to those who constantly expect the worst from this ex-Teen Mom star:
He's been accused of trying to kill his wife's dog.
Actually, he's been accused of succeeding and KILLING HIS WIFE'S DOG.
We're not kidding or exaggerating.
Do we have your attention now?
Okay, good. Scroll down for all the totally insane details...
Let's Just Delve Right In, Shall We?
By now, you must know the history of Eason and Evans and their romance, right?
They're Up, They're Down, They're Assaulting One Another
Well, Eason is assaulting Jenelle at least. He was accused of doing so in October of 2018.
So, Really, We Shouldn't Be Surprised by Any Kind of Violence by Him
No, we shouldn't. And yet... this new report took us aback. Like, WAY aback.
Lay It On Us
According to a Radar Online report, a man called the Columbus County Sheriff’s department on Tuesday, April 30. This man has not yet been identified.
The Source Here Seems Reliable
"A call was made today, and it was relayed that the woman’s husband had killed her dog,” the Sheriff’s Department told Radar. “The Sheriff is out there right now investigating and there will be an incident report filed later.”
Did Evans Make the Call?
No. Radar simply insists that it was placed by a "male." This is all we know at the moment.
What are the Details?
The 911 operator told Radar that the caller said David killed Jenelle’s dog and that authorities were on the couple's property, looking into the allegation.
This Doesn't Sound Like David at All
Just kidding. It sounds just like something he would do.
Eason Has a History of Alleged Animal Abuse
There Was Also the Apparent Abuse of Jenelle, Of Course
“My husband pinned me to the ground," Evans told a 911 operator this past fall, clearly spelling out what her husband had done to her.
It Was Legitimately Terrifying
She said Eason was drunk and broke her collarbone and she was afraid of what he might do next.
It is a recording of Jenelle's 911 call at the time.
Has Jenelle Commented on the Incident?
Not specifically. She wrote that "better days are coming" the night before it took place, implying that her marriage was going through yet another difficult time. [UPDATE: Jenelle has now commented directly. Read on for her remarks.]
Several Hours Later?
Around the time the dog murder would have taken place? Evans wrote on Facebook that she was "feeling devastated."
Thank U, Next?
Three hours after she said she was devastated, Jenelle gave a shout-out to Ariana Grande's song... about break ups with her famous exes. Hmmm...
The Timing Sort of Makes Sense Here, Too?
On Monday night, MTV aired a Teen Mom 2 episode in which Evans said David getting fired by the network (for homophobic remarks) had placed a strain on their marriage.
More Storyline Details:
Evans also planned a trip to Kentucky with nine-year-old son Jace, whom she shares with ex Andrew Lewis, on this episode -- but then decided to cancel the bonding expedition when Eason insisted on tagging along because MTV cameras couldn't follow the mother and son for it since the network won't shoot any scenes with Eason.
This is What Jenelle Said on the Episode:
"I was really excited about my trip to Kentucky with Jace, but I decided to talk to David about it, and he wants to come too because he has family there," she told the camera. "But MTV won't film if he's around. I'm in a really uncomfortable position, and it's putting a strain on my marriage."
Nathan Griffin Even Chimed In
"She needs to grow up," Nathan said of his ex on this same installment. "I think the drama's getting worse because of who she's with. She doesn't understand he's doing nothing to promote her image."
Concluded Griffin on the Episode
"I think she's going to have to hit rock bottom before she gets herself help."
Having Your Dog Killed by Your Husband Would Qualify as Rock Bottom, Right?
One would assume so.
Our Overall Point Here?
It seems very plausible that the episode aired, Eason grew irate, maybe got drunk... and then turned violent.
Which Dog May Have Been Victimized?
We don't know. But Evans and Eason own a canine named Jax. He had recently eaten several baby chicks on the couple’s farm-like property where they also keep chickens, geese and pigs.
On April 25, Eason uploaded a video to Instagram in which son Kasier can be heard saying that Jax ate some chickens. The video was later deleted.
We're Just Saying...
Combine Eason being angry over his portrayal this week on Teen Mom 2 with him maybe having a reason for disliking Jax... and this story seems more and more believable.
And Let's Not Forget About His Love of Guns and Gigantic Anger Problem
It's hard to forget about either of these things.
He's Innocent Until Proven Guilty, Though, We Guess
The details on this alleged dog homicide are vague at the moment, so we suppose it's only fair to reserve judgment until we learn more. But it's not as if we need any evidence that Eason is a violent, close-minded bigot who Jenelle needs to get as far away from as possible, if only for the sake of her kids. That much was proven a long time ago.
WE HAVE AN UPDATE!
According to Us Weekly, Eason shot and killed Nugget, a different family dog.
“David shot the dog,” an insider tells this tabloid. “The dog snapped at [their 2-year-old daughter] Ensley and that prompted David’s decision to shoot it."
Where Were the Other Kids?
Jenelle's four-year-old son, Kaiser, was in her care at the time of the incident -- but her oldest son, Jace, 9, was on a cruise with his grandmother when it transpired.
Get Me Outta Here!
This same Us Weekly insider explains that Evans “doesn’t feel safe with David” in the wake of his murderous actions and “is scared and terrified” of her husband. Maybe she will finally leave him.
Where is She Right Now?
Radar writes that Evans has fled the family home with her kids and is terrified and unsure about what to do next.
Grieving Dog Mom
Jenelle finally acknowledged Nugget's death on Instagram today. She posted this photo along with a caption reading, "Nugget... I’m crying everyday. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless. You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me."
Some Things Never Change
Other than that, however, Jenelle has been her usual combative self, posting tweets like this one.
She's Not Happy
Clearly, Jenelle is outraged by the situation, but let's hope the bulk of her wrath is directed not at Teen Mom 2 viewers, but at the man who murdered her dog.
