Amber Portwood is facing three felony charges of domestic assault.
This much we know.
But what, exactly, is the evidence behind these charges?
Following an alleged incident of violence on July 5 between Amber and boyfriend Andrew Glennon, numerous reports have outlined how Amber may be fired by MTV… may lose primary custody of her 14-month old son… and may be sent to jail.
Simply because Andrew says she attacked him?
No, of course not.
Courtesy of Radar Online, we’ve rundown the evidence below that has been collected by the state in conjunction the very serious charges leveled against Portwood.
This is why she may be in MAJOR trouble, you guys…
Here We Go Again?

Yes. Portwood was also arrested in 2011 for assaulting then-boyfriend Gary Shirley. She ended up spending 17 months in jail after breaking probation when she was caught a couple years later with drugs.
Amber Has Referenced This Incident Many Times

She’s admitted to being an “abuser” and said she has learned from her mistakes. If only that were true, however…
What Happened on July 5, 2019?

Portwood and Glennon reportedly tried to take their young son to see a fireworks show in honor of America’s birthday. But they got caught in serious traffic and missed it. Amber then blamed Andrew for what happened.
From There?

A whole lot allegedly transpired, starting with Amber screaming at Andrew and then throwing a shoe at his head. She has admitted to doing this, but has said the shoe barely grazed Glennon.
What Has He Said?

That it left a major mark and that he was holding little James in his arms when it took place.
Andrew Has Said a Lot More, Too

After the shoe was hurled, he says Amber threatened suicide, swallowing a bunch of Klonopin pills before throwing them back up. This, we believe, is when he texted 911.
Glennon Said He Feared for His Life and the Life of His Son

And then he locked himself in the bathroom with James.
As for Amber?

She supposedly grabed a machete and used it to try and break down the bathroom door.
The Fallout:

Portwood was taken into custody by the police and Glennon was granted a no-contact order, meaning Amber was not permitted to go anywhere near him.
But Is This Just His Word Against Her?

No, police would never charge someone with three felonies if that were the case.
So… New Information Has Leaked?

Yes. In court papers obtained by Radar from Marion Superior Court, the State of Indiana listed materials that may be used as evidence if the case goes to trial.
This Doesn’t Look Good for Portwood

The evidence list includes an audio recording from July 5, 2019 and an audio recording of July 4, 2019 incident. We don’t know what is on these recordings, but presumably snippts from the argument between Andrew and Amber.
What Else?

Three Ring videos, which is footage taken by the home’s security system.
And Also?

22 photos provided by the Indiana Metropolitan Police Department, presumably of Glennon’s face and maybe the bathroom door behind which he hid that morning; along with others disheveled or attacked areas of the home.
Anything Else?

Yes: Audio recording of Glennon’s statement, charging information, a two-page criminal history of Portwood, an incident report and prior conviction court documents.
Has Amber Confessed to Anything?

Just the shoe-throwing, as we mentioned before. She’s denied the pill swallowing and the use of a sword.
Recording Definitely Played Some Role Here

The court papers outlined how Portwood became upset that Glennon was recording her “yelling,” which is likely the evidence to be used in court.
Glennon Thinks Amber is a Danger to James

Reads his custody filing: “Father believes Mother is currently unable to provide a safe, stable and secure environment for James on an ongoing basis due to her frequent refusal and/or failure to take medicines prescribed to treat her mental-health conditions, among other concerns.”
Portwood Just Sort of Won in Court

On July 25 — with Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Cheyenne Floyd and Shirley all attendance — Portwood was told she can now have supervised visits with her son.
What’s Next?

She is due back in court for a hearing on August 22.
Adding Fuel to All This Fire?

Amber appears to think Andrew has been cheating on her, based on a couple of her recent social media messages.
But He Denies It

“I just don’t like being called a cheater when I’m not. If I cheated, you wouldn’t hear a peep from me, but I’m not that species of animal, so conscience clean,” he wrote this week on Instagram.
It Almost Sounds Like He Still Loves Amber

“I’ve never cheated nor am on on the market to. Eveeeer,” he added.
