It would be a massive understatement to say that Teen Mom 2 terror Jenelle Evans has a habit of misleading the public.
This woman lies so frequently in interviews and on social media that we’re sure it’s second-nature to her at this point.
Perhaps the most extreme example: Jenelle accused David Eason of abuse, then claimed the altercation didn’t happen.
Only slightly less extreme: Evans stated that David shot her dog in a fit of rage, and then abruptly changed her story.
Jenelle backtracked and claimed that he did so only to protect his daughter, then proceeded to stand by her man. Sigh.
With everything that Jenelle has lied about over the years, it’s no surprise that the public has a hard time believing her.
About anything. When she talks about her myriad health problems, which she recently did, eye-rolling commences.
This week, when she discussed her medical issues once again, fans reacted about as you’d expect to Evans’ claims.

Seeking Treatment
Jenelle has been in and out of the hospital almost as many times as she’s been in and out of jail these past ten years – which is really saying something when your collage of booking photos has hit double digits – and while we’re not making light of anybody’s medical problems, it’s never really clear what’s wrong with the former Teen Mom 2 star.
Medical Mystery
This might be because Jenelle’s condition is difficult to diagnose (certainly wouldn’t be the first time that’s been the case for someone) or it could be because Evans has offered up some seriously confusing information over the years. Or a combination of the two. To say she has a complicated relationship with the truth is putting it mildly, however.
Getting Her Story Straight
Granted, we’re not there to witness this stuff first-hand, but according to her own words, Jenelle Evans’ symptoms seem to change frequently, and over the years she’s told some incredible tales of medical emergencies, only to do a prompt 180 or offer conflicting accounts shortly thereafter.
The Plane Truth … or Lies
For example, the 27-year-old reality star has claimed that she’s no longer able to take long-distance flights, as the altitude causes her mysterious symptoms to flare up.
Shakes On a Plane
Jenelle recalled that her most recent cross-country flight caused her such pain that she took to lying in the aisle between seats, writhing and wailing. Many of her followers pointed out that this likely would have resulted in an emergency landing, which obviously would’ve been well documented and obviously did not happen.
What’s the Deal?
So what’s really wrong with Jenelle? Well, there are lots of answers to that question (hold off on the sarcasm for now). But if you take Evans’ word for it (a dubious idea), she says her biggest issue is esophageal spasms.
Opening Up
In a new interview with celebrity gossip magazine Hollywood Life, which took a pause from posting photos of Emily Ratajkowski in a crop top to break some hard news, Jenelle attempts to clear the air with regard to the many rumors surrounding her health – but she may have just made things worse.
Plane Pain
“With my health, I’ve been dealing with esophageal spasms for years. Every time I would fly in a plane, even today, spasms happen in my chest,†the beleaguered mother of three tells the alleged celebrity news outlet.
None Shall Pass
“Food or liquid will not pass through,” she adds. “Then, I throw up an hour into the flight and keep going until I land, which is a four hour flight, usually from North Carolina to Los Angeles.â€Â
Tough to Pin Down
Jenelle says she went to several doctors and underwent countless tests before she was properly diagnosed.
A Painful Process
“I’ve had two endoscopies, two esophagus dilations,†Evans tells Hollywood Life.

The mother of three says it was only when a doctor at Duke University had her swallow barium prior to a throat x-ray that her problem was properly diagnosed.
More Tests
“The next step is an esophagus manometry test that lasts for 24 hours,†she says, explaining that “a catheter is put up the nose and down the throat to test wave lengths and acid/PH levels in the esophagus, which will all be recorded onto a small device.â€Â
Not Under the Knife
Jenelle says she will not be undergoing surgery for her condition, but she has been treating the ailment with anti-acid and anxiety medicine. It’s unclear how anxiety issues would affect the muscles in her throat.

Jenelle claims her condition has been improving in recent years due to support she receives from her husband.
Emotional Support
“David has been supportive of me and understands how severe this problem gets,†Jenelle says, adding that “MTV has also witnessed it first hand a few times,â€Â
Rare Condition
“It’s not hereditary, but it’s known to be caused from an underlying issue as in acid reflux or certain other disorders. We think it might be because of acid reflux, but we’re not too sure,†Evans says of her condition. “But finally, we’re now starting to get answers.”

Of course, this is Jenelle we’re talking about, so many fans were quick to express doubts about — pretty much everything she had to say.
Summer Vibes
Jenelle recently posted this video of herself sporting a bikini — and a surprising number of fans think they detected a baby bump.
Harsh Commentary
“Holding her breath for this video!†one follower commented, “You look pregnant stop lying and stop choosing men over your children,” another remarked.
Yikes
Other fans were more general in their criticism of Jenelle, such as the one who commented, “WTF are you showing us??? Looks like your trying to get attention showing your body . .. then sand? Come on girl. Focus on your KIDS!!!! JESUS CHRIST!â€Â
Get It Together!
This is the point where we remind everyone that there’s plenty to criticize about Jenelle without resorting to attacks on her appearance.

Evans has yet to remark on the rumors that she’s pregnant, but considering how much time she seems to have on her hands since being fired from Teen Mom 2 — you can bet a response is forthcoming.
Amber Alert
In the meantime, Jenelle has gone on the offensive against two of her former Teen Mom colleagues — Amber Portwood and Leah Messer.
Unfair Treatment?
Amber was recently arrested for domestic violence and Jenelle is PISSED that she Portwood has not been fired over the allegations. She recently flipped out in response to reports that MTV had sent a camera crew to cover Amber’s first court hearing.
Big Mad
“Wow, could of [sic] filmed at my court case that was completely dismissed.. but not instead go film the drama of a person that attacks others with weapons. Don’t film the positive tho [sic],” Evans tweeted.
Clickbait Queen
As for Leah, Jenelle has been posting clickbait articles claiming that Messer’s marriages both ended as a result of Leah’s cheating and drug use.
Two For One
The girl is nothing if not efficient, and she assailed two of her rivals with one post when she claimed that one of Leah’s cheating partners was her longtime best friend Kailyn Lowry.
Nice Try
So far, no one has taken the bait, as her former co-stars likely realize this is simply Evans’ way of trying to remain relevant.
Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop
Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that Evans will give up that easily. The girl really has nothing but time on her hands these days.
