Kylie Jenner is reportedly set to make some changes in her life.
The 21-year old is done with Jordyn Woods as a best friend, may be finished with Travis Scott as a boyfriend -- and it also allegedly prepared to walk away from the reality show that made her famous.
Jenner scarcely appeared on this past Sunday's Season 16 premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and she is scheduled to play less of a role going forward than she has in the past.
According to Radar Online, meanwhile, she is hoping to be released from her contract after the latest run of episodes comes to a conclusion.
The cosmetics queen "feels like she doesn’t need the show at all anymore," a source tells this celebrity gossip website, explaining/adding:
“Kylie thinks KUWTK has run its course. She is just so busy with Kylie Cosmetics that she doesn’t have time to deal with the long hours it takes to film.”
This is actually a fair and interesting point.
When Keeping Up with the Kardashians started, Kylie was a child.
Like, an actual, legitimate child.
Fast forward all these years and she has surpassed her sisters in online popularity and, incredibly, in wealth as well.
As you have very likely read about at some point in the past few weeks, Kylie is a billionaire.
She doesn't need this E! reality show to make her famous or rich or even to help her reach her fans.
All Jenner has to do is write something on her Instagram page in order to reach her 130 million-plus followers; that figure blows away the number of viewers who tune in each week to Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Writes Radar, emphasizing these points:
“She feels like she can buy and sell all of them at this point and she really got what she needed out of it.”
There are two issues at play here, however:
FIRST, Jenner did try to anchor her own spinoff in Life of Kylie... and pretty much no one watched it. The show lasted one season.
SECOND, Kylie's mother really wants her youngest daughter to stick around.
“Kris is stuck in between a rock and a hard place right now because she really needs all of her daughters onboard to get these new contracts locked in,” an insider tells Radar.
Negotiations for future seasons are a bit tense at the moment because Keeping Up with the Kardashians ratings have been dropping for some time now.
Fans are a bit sick of the show and can also just follow the family's exploits on winning websites such as The Hollywood Gossip.
"The network wants Kylie in because she is hot right now and Kris is trying to bribe her by telling her that she can use the show to promote her make-up business," concludes Radar.
"But at the end of the day, Kylie doesn’t need that either. She is just really over all of it."
