Justin Bieber has taken a break from making terrible jokes and gushing over his wife in order to make a pretty strong statement:
The singer thinks Laura Ingraham should be fired by Fox News.
The polarizing anchor has made many snide, rude and, some would say racist comments over the years.
On her cable news program last week, Ingraham was shown laughing and smiling while talking about about Nipsey Hussle’s emotional memorial service that took place just one day before.
(Hussle, of course, was a beloved Grammy nominee who was gunned down a few weeks ago and who had dedicated his life to trying to make peace on the violent streets of Los Angeles.)
“Yesterday in L.A., thousands lined the streets to say goodbye to rapper Nipsey Hussle,” Ingraham said on air.
She continued, airing a clip from one of the rapper's music videos and explaining why as follows:
“Now this dear artist recently released a song called ‘FDT’ [F-ck Donald Trump]," she said, taking the late star to task for his treatment of the President.
In response to Ingraham basically talking crap about a dead person, Bieber wrote the following on Instagram yesterday:
“Laura Ingraham absolutely disgusting what you did on national television. How dare you laugh in the face of a person who has passed on?"
Bieber included the screen grab below with his statement and added:
Doesn’t matter who it is. But disrespecting someone’s who was a pillar in the community and did right by people? Did you not think about the family who just lost a love one and now have to see you mock him on national television.
It’s absurd and you should be fired period. #repost #spreadawareness.
Ingraham, of course, has said some pretty effed up things many times over the years.
We guess it wasn't so incredible, really, though, given Ingraham's history.
She also famously told LeBron James to "shut up and dribble" after the basketball player expressed some political opinions.
Bieber isn’t the only celebrity to react to Ingraham’s coverage of Hussle’s funeral.
“So lemme tell you what’s going to happen here… @foxnes fires this disrespectful c— by tomorrow, Monday morning or you will lose millions of viewers one person at a time until it drastically effects [sic] your ratings, views etc,” The Game wrote on Instagram, adding:
“We are NO LONGER laying quiet while you continuously disrespect our brother, culture African Americans as a whole.”
Fox News is yet to comment on what Ingraham said.
But we're guessing it will respond by giving her a huge raise.
