Amy Roloff has a few reasons to be very emotional at the moment.
She and her loved ones just returned to the air with new episodes of Little People, Big World, as Season 14 premiered this past Tuesday night.
Also, it's clear that her relationship with Chris Marek is going quite well. Just take a look at the image below:
This image was shared by Amy on her Instagram page yesterday and while it partly served as a reminder that she and Marek are very happy together, it also gave Amy a reason to pause and reflect on something sad.
"A fantastic first motorcycle ride last Saturday landed us at spectacular Silver Falls State Park. I love riding with this man!" Amy wrote to open her caption to this romantic picture, adding at the outset:
"Im amazed how much I do love to ride. First I love being with Chris."
From here, however, Amy took her post in a different, somber direction.
She referenced a loved one about whom Roloff does not often talk.
"It also reminds me so much of my oldest sister Cyndi, she passed away from an illness 4 years ago, who loved to ride," continued Amy in regard to this photo and her motorcycle ride.
"Maybe it’s because we get to ride on some of the less traveled backroads, see farm fields, the beautiful countryside, pass through smaller local towns, eat at local restaurants, the awesome wide open views all around me and most of all, did I say it already."
Concluded the veteran reality star:
"I love being and riding with Chris and can’t wait to go on the next one. I’m very thankful I get to enjoy some of life little moments. What are some of your ‘Life Little Moments’ you enjoy doing?
"#travelswithamyandchris #amyroloffssecondact #openroad #theride #lifelittlemoments."
Amy and Marek have been together for over two years now.
For some strange reason, fans continue to question Marek's motives, thinking he isn't really in love with Roloff and thinking he's just some greedy creeper.
Amy has managed to mostly ignore these unwarranted criticisms, although she does stand up and defend her boyfriend on occasion.
As for her sister, Cynthia Norwood passed away on January 27, 2015 in Florida. Wrote Amy on Twitter at the time:
"I'm so sad and will miss her My oldest sister passed away yesterday. She had a tough life and was ill. She's at peace now w/ the Lord."
Elsewhere, Little People, Big World featured Amy feuding a bit with her ex-husband on the aforementioned season premiere.
She and Matt are at odds over the future of their co-owned farm.
"Several months ago I asked Amy what she wants to do with the farm," Matt told the camera on this episode. "One of my frustrations is, you know, she's reluctant to make decisions often."
Amy, meanwhile, took the big picture approach when discussing this topic, thinking back to the past couple years and wondering where things were headed for her:
"Divorce definitely threw me for a loop. And now the kids are moving on... you blink and they're gone. I think that the fame and the kids are what have held me here.
"I do have to make some sort of decision soon because if not I'll feel like I'm always in limbo still."
