The Real Housewives of New York City is back, and a lot went down during the hiatus from filming for our favorite housewives.
Bethenny Frankel had the year from hell, and that's in large part down to the sudden death of her boyfriend, Dennis Shields, who was found dead in his Trump Tower home.
He was just 51 and died of an overdose.
"Can you talk about Dennis?" a producer asked Bethenny, and she struggled to get words out.
She was royally put on the spot and had no idea how to address the situation.
"Dennis passed away three weeks ago in his apartment," Bethenny revealed.
"Tyler, his daughter, called me hysterically crying and she said, 'My dad died this morning.' And I started screaming into the phone."
Bethenny then made her way to a promotional shoot for Skinnygirl jeans, and while Bethenny was trying to be strong, she was struggling.
At one point, she made her way to the bathroom to have a break.
"This has nothing to do with him," she whispered to herself. "I don't want to cry."
In a later scene, the star invited her friends over to her home to chat about things.
That's when Bethenny revealed that Bryn, her 8-year-old daughter questioned whether Deniss still had a phone.
Bethenny went on to admit that she wrote a message to Dennis via text following his death.
Bethenny's message read: "I love you, Dennis. You're the most loving, beautiful man in the whole world, and I'm sorry you had so much pain. Now you can really sleep."
Bryn did the same.
Bryn's message read: "Hi, Dennis. How are you doing today? We miss you. I and Biggie and Smalls miss you, too. From, Bryn."
Bethenny revealed that Bryn asked whether Dennis got her text the day after. Yikes. It sounds like some heavy stuff.
"I've never in my life experienced this moment, this feeling, this hysteria," Bethenny told the cameras.
"Someone told me that he fell the day before on a boat. And then did he take something because he was in pain? But it doesn't matter. He's dead."
"Let me figure out what happened. Let me put the pieces of the puzzle together," she continued.
"Somebody tell me how bad they feel, his daughter, his son, he was doing this last week, he wrote me 50 texts, he wanted to marry me, I have a ring on my finger. He's dead! It doesn't matter! He's gone. There's nothing to say."
"Time is healing the wounds a little more than I thought. It's going faster," she said.
"And then I feel guilty. Like, how can you be having fun when Dennis is dead? But I'm trying to do what he would want me to do."
While Bethenny was going through a nightmare, Luann de Lesseps was trying to fix her life following her relapse.
Luann admitted to her new friend Barbara Kavovit that she was her rock.
"You saved me, I'll tell ya," Lu told Barbara. "I needed to go back. This whole thing with the kids really was upsetting. It was too overwhelming, and I didn't have the tools that I needed from the first time around, so I'm glad I went back," she continued.
"But when shit hit the fan for me -- and it literally did -- you came to my rescue with Bethenny, and I will never forget it."
Luann went on to reveal that the relapse was in part due to the way her ex-husband and kids were treating her.
There's a lawsuit alleging that Luann was supposed to set up trust funds for the kids when she sold the house.
"I needed a change in my life, and I fell in love with Upstate, I fell in love with a house, but I couldn't get a bank loan enough to buy a house in Upstate," Luann admitted.
"So I wanted to sell my property in the Hamptons, but the children didn't like that very much. They stopped me with their father by putting a hold on it legally."
"That really was upsetting to me, and so that kind of threw me off the rails, and I had a relapse, and I had to go back to rehab."
"Going back to rehab a second time, I was not proud of myself," she said.
"I failed. It't not easy to keep that promise to yourself and live a sober life, but I take it day by day. It's a struggle."
Luann then dished that she had fixed things with her kids, but stressed the importance of staying sober.
"I can't slip again," she said. "I won't."
