Let's be clear:
Meghan Markle's half-sister sucks. A LOT.
She's a self-serving narcissist who is trying to gain as much fame and fortune as possible by insulting her younger, partial sibling at every opportunity possible.
However... Samantha Markle is not a threat.
She tried to see Meghan last fall and was stopped at the Kensington Palace gates and, well, that was about it.
She allegedly left a letter for for the Duchess with a security guard and was then taken away in her wheelchair and hasn't tried to contact Meghan since. No big deal in any practical sense.
But Radar Online now reports that Markle is also being targeted by a bunch of racist trolls out there -- and these critics have folks associated with the Royal Family far more frightened than Samantha or Thomas Markle.
“The Royal Family is forced to be monitoring their social media feeds 24/7 because of all of the racist hate that Meghan has been receiving. It has become a great problem,” a palace insider tells this website.
Adds the same insider:
“It is a good thing that the royal family does not allow personal social media accounts.
"But because of this these racists are coming for them on their public social media, which is meant to give updates on the entire family."
Markle, of course, is the product of a white father and an African-American father.
Back in December of 2016, Markle addressed her heritage by writing in Elle UK that her parents wanted her to find her "own truth" when it came to ethnicity.
"You create the identity you want for yourself, just as my ancestors did when they were given their freedom," Markle wrote.
Elsewhere, in her first joint interview back in the day with Harry, Meghan said the couple does all it can to ignore awful haters such as these.
This is the right attitude to take, but it's also understandable that the Palace would take steps to ensure Markle's well-being.
According to this Radar Online source, “everyone is on edge right now and Meghan and Harry have also beefed up security on them specifically.”
Did they think there might be backlash to their romance? Yes, a bit.
But "this was not something she ever even thought about when joining the royal family," the informant says.
Last week, the Royal Family issued a strict set of guidelines directed at anyone who is engaging with any of their social media channels.
Among the new set of rules, the guidelines state that “comments must not contain spam, be defamatory of any person, deceive others, be obscene, offensive, threatening, abusive, hateful, inflammatory or promote sexually explicit material or violence.”
Moreover, the guidelines state that “comments must not promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.”
Pretty crazy, huh?
And very sad.
And it's all against the backdrop of Markle getting oh so close to giving birth.
Can't people just leave her alone already?!?
