Jorge Nava has been spotted filming for 90 Day Fiance.
We don’t know when the hit TLC series is returning but, when it does, viewers will see Jorge again.
And, though she wasn’t at this particular shoot, fans will also see the other half of the show’s most hated couple, Anfisa.
A 90 Day Fiance fan page reports that Jorge was spotted, filming for the series with a friend.
Anfisa Arkhipchenko, whose name has now been Anfisa Nava on Instagram for months and who remains married to Jorge, was nowhere to be seen.
But given the recent revelation that Jorge and Anfisa are still together, it seems certain that Anfisa will also appear on screen.
Just … not in that scene.
In fact, given that Anfisa used her vlog to share to with fans and followers that she would be returning to Russia — to see her family during Spring Break — that may account for her absence.
Or she may have just been somewhere else. Just because you’re married doesn’t mean that you can’t go to different places with different friends.
Anfisa and Jorge’s lives have been anything but boring in recent months.
Most notably, Jorge was arrested while transporting what was reportedly a massive amount of marijuana.
He grows marijuana for a living, so that’s not exactly shocking.
But he was no longer in California when police pulled him over. Until the senseless prohibition against marijuana ends across all 50 states, people need to remember that what you can do in public in one state can get you imprisoned for decades just a few miles away.
Anfisa is standing by her man, however.
Which comes as a surprise to many of those familiar with this turbulent, controversial relationship.
Problems between Anfisa and Jorge were evident, almost immediately.
Jorge’s attraction to Anfisa started with looks. In the eyes of many viewers, they never went past looks.
Anfisa was never shy about admitting that her attraction to Jorge had been largely based upon how wealthy she perceived him to be.
Fast forward a short while, and Anfisa discovers that Jorge is not quite as wealthy as he had let on. In fact, he was in debt.
Though the two got married, money — Jorge’s lack of it and Anfisa’s willingness to spend it — was a recurring source of conflict between them.
It was during a discussion of a post-nuptial agreement that Anfisa hit Jorge on camera.
Viewers were concerned about domestic violence, which is always a serious matter.
By the end of the season, it appeared that their relationship had deteriorated.
At the reunion special, it had appeared that Jorge and Anfisa were done for good. Jorge openly wondered if he would see Anfisa again.
However, there were not-so-subtle signs that the two were making their marriage work.
Anfisa showed off a huge box of flowers on social media. Also, as we mentioned, she changed her Instagram handle to Anfisa Nava — and she’s kept it that way.
Then, Anfisa and Jorge were spotted in public together. They were doing Anfisa’s favorite activity — shopping!
Finally, Anfisa and Jorge came forward and spoke directly to their fans — and haters — by revealing that they really were still together.
For better or for worse.
We wonder what we can expect from these two this season.
Jorge has been unwilling to discuss his marijuana arrest so far. That is sound, from a legal perspective, but may mean that a major storyline in his life is not directly addressed on camera.
Perhaps fans will also get to see him and Anfisa make nice.
Given how nasty things got between them — with Jorge accusing Anfisa of getting mean after he paid for her boob job — that should be quite the journey.
