On Friday night, the Seattle Seahawks selected former Michigan State defensive end Malik McDowell in the second round of the NFL Draft.
But Russell Wilson was a tad bit distracted by another new individual in his life to celebrate his team's latest on-field edition.
By which we mean the following:
CIARA HAS GIVEN BIRTH TO HER SECOND CHILD!
The singer and quarterback of a husband, who got married in July 2016, confirmed themselves yesterday that they are now the parents of a precious little girl named Sienna Princess Wilson.
The couple’s bundle of joy weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz. when she entered the world.
And she did so to the inspiring words of her famous mother.
Rather than share a photo of her newborn, Ciara posted the picture below on Instagram and included with it the following caption:
Dear Sienna Princess Wilson, No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm.
We Love You. Love, Mommy & Daddy. 7:03 pm 7 lbs 13 oz. 4.28.2017 Photo By Daddy.
Sienna is the first child for the Seattle Seahawks signal caller.
Ciara, however, is also mom to two-year-old son Future Zahir, from a previous relationship with rapper Future.
She and Wilson got together in the spring of 2015.
They made headlines at the time because Wilson announced they were waiting until marriage to have sex. Because that's what God wanted
"[Ciara] was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me," said Wilson in July of 2015, adding:
"He said, 'I need you to lead her.' I told her, ‘What would you do if we took all that "extra stuff" off the table, and just did it Jesus' way?'"
Wilson then joked that he needed prayers sent his way because Ciara is a "15" on a scale of 1-10 Hotness and it was difficult for him to resist the urge to plow her.
But resist Wilson did... until vows were exchanged.
From there, the two didn't waste any time jumping into the sack.
They got married in England on July 6 of last year, tying the knot in a fancy ceremony in front of many family members and friends.
Said Ciara in February to Cosmopolitan South Africa of the pair's decision to wait until marriage to have intercourse:
"I really believe that when you focus on a friendship, you have the opportunity to build a strong foundation for a relationship p and once you know you're really great friends and you're what we call 'equally yoked,' where you share the same values or the same outlook on life, it kind of sets the tone.
"Knowing that you'll always have the friendship and that you can always go back to it is very important, and very powerful."
We send our best wishes to the new parents!
And to ALL the celebrities who have become parents in 2017, as documented above!
