A Reddit user who got fed up with his teenage kids not doing the dishes did the obvious thing any parent would in order to get his point across:
Left them an ultimatum courtesy of Liam Neeson from Taken!
He wrote, borrowing from the popular film series:
"I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want."
"If you are looking for a maid to clean up after you, I can tell you I don’t do that. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills."
"Skills I have acquired over a very long lifetime. Skills that make me a an expert in home WIFI systems and Cellular Data plans."
"If you clean up your own kitchen mess, that’ll be the end of it.
"I will not look for you, I will not pursue you.
"But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you…
"AND I WILL DISCONNECT YOU."
Many users on Reddit, where this first appeared, doubted the dad’s capability to “disconnect” his kids as he threatens here.
His response? Try me.
“I don’t change the password. I use MAC address filtering to block specific devices from the router. And the devices are iPhones and Chromebooks."
"I sincerely doubt they can hack into any router. They don’t even know what a MAC address is. They probably think it is something related to Apple."
Owned. Not like these parents who owned their kids at texting, as his methods will keep them off their phones by design ... but owned.
