Just four months after we learned that Josiah Duggar and Marjorie Jackson are courting, it seems the young couple has decided to call it quits.
The 18-year-old Bible study author was so excited by the prospect of becoming a member of the 19 Kids and Counting clan that she made a video to announce her courtship with Josiah.
In the weeks that followed, Josiah posted constant photos of himself with Marjorie. However, that habit quickly came to a stop.
The pic above is the most recent photo of Josiah and Marjorie. It was taken during an outing to Branson, Missouri more than 11 weeks ago.
Just days later, news of the Josh Duggar sexual abuse scandal went public.
Radar Online is now reporting that Josiah and Marjorie have not been seen together since.
Could Marjorie have lost interest in becoming a Duggar once the family was tainted by scandal? Or is she simply laying low in hopes of avoiding the negative attention that the Duggars have attracted in recent months?
As fans of 19 Kids and Counting know, the Duggars take courting seriously, so if Marjorie did decide to temporarily break things off with Josiah, it’s unlikely that she’ll ever be welcomed back into the fold.
In any event, it looks like the end of Josiah’s first courtship is just the latest in a long line of consequences that the entire family has suffered as a result of Josh’s actions and his parents’ failed attempts to hide them from the public.
