Scott Disick is having a hard time dealing with his parents’ deaths, and understandably so, but this seems to be leading to more tension with Kourtney Kardashian.
Some of Scott’s unruly behavior can probably be attributed to this tragic loss, as viewers who watch Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons online know.
On this Sunday’s upcoming episode, Disick and Kardashian argue over his refusal to deal with his parents’ Eastport, N.Y., home, or even go through it …
“You know that it’s a sensitive subject for me,” says Disick.
That’s putting it mildly. It’s like he won’t even think about it.
“Scott does not know if he wants to keep his parents’ house or sell it, but while we are out here we still need to clean it out and do all the things it needs,” Kourt says.
The property has been empty since the deaths of his mother, Bonnie Disick, in October 2013 and his father, Jeffrey Disick, just months later in January 2014.
“I don’t know if I want to go over there, I haven’t really been back,” says 31-year-old Scott. “I just didn’t think that this was going to come at this time in my life.”
“If I was 50 years old going back there to sell the home my family lived in, I’d be alright,” the oft-troubled reality star continues, “but at 30 it’s weird.”
No doubt. But Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to their third child last weekend. He has a new family to step up for now, and doesn’t seem up to the task at times.
In the above sneak peek from Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons Season 1 Episode 8, he snaps at his partner, “I feel like you keep pushing me."
"I don’t know why you’re trying to do this,” he says incredulously.
Because she’s a woman? Because she’s responsible? Because someone should probably tell this overgrown child when he needs to do the adult thing?
A little from columns A-C, we’d say. And then there’s the logistical aspect. “Once we get home, we’re not going to want to fly back here,” she tells him.
“Oh, my God!" Disick responds, despite her reasonable point. "Can you stop bothering me about this! Obviously I don’t feel comfortable yet to go there.”
Yikes. At least he’s not drinking around the kids anymore.
