Will oft-embattled and deeply troubled R&B singer Chris Brown and his on-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran join the next season of VH1’s Couples Therapy?

The two are certainly prime candidates, and if Dr. Jenn Berman has her way …

With last night’s Couples Therapy Season 5 Episode 10 marking an emotional end to this fall’s run, Dr. Jenn stopped by Big Morning Buzz Live to discuss it.

Berman, who as we saw with Treach and Cicely, can get even hardcore rappers to emotionally open up to her, which led to Chris Brown’s name coming up.

She talked about wanting to help Chris stabilize his relationship with Karreuche, which has been the subject of major tabloid gossip, year after year.

 

Could she possibly help that combative pair? It’s unclear, but it would surely lead a lot of people to watch Couples Therapy online if they ever appeared.

Dr. Jenn says she grew up in the music world, which helps her relate to it.

“I have tremendous respect for these artists and for the creative process. [I also respect] the pain that many artists suffer, that helps them be so creative,” she said.

The therapist believes artists sense her compassion and honestly, too.

Asked if she would work with Karrueche Tran and Chris Brown, Dr. Jenn said, “[Brown’s] history is very interesting to me … I would definitely be interested.”

He could certainly use the help, but that’s our words, not hers.

As always, Dr. Jenn is a class act – even when dealing with total flakes like Farrah Abraham – and will never say anyone needs help or has issues.

Come on, though. It would be ratings gold and fascinating to watch, because either it would work or fail spectacularly, and either is an epic win for VH1.

They’d never agree in a million years, but fun to think about.
