On The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 9 Episode 16, Bali was beautiful but the atmosphere was anything but tranquil for Tamra and Lizzie.
"I’m hoping Bali is the peaceful, spiritual, cleansing moment we all need for our relationships," said Heather Dubrow, as if that were even remotely possible.
The ladies did enjoy kayaking, cocktails and riding elephants, on which Tamra remarked, "That’s the biggest wiener I’ve ever seen! Look how it swings!"
Classic Tamra Barney quotes aside, the fun pretty much stopped there as the latest Season 9 installment turned catty and testy in an awfully big hurry.
The incident at Lizzie Rovsek’s birthday and who blew it off and who said what or didn’t say this or that or the other thing made it hard for her to relax.
"You didn’t come, you didn’t call, it was totally rude," said Rovsek.
The target of that comment was, of course, Tamra Barney, who protested, reading texts the two had shared to prove her point. Rovsek said, "I’m over it."
As. If.
This, of course, is the episode that prompted Tamra to slam Bravo on Facebook, accusing the network of editing her poorly to start up fake drama.
It’s also rumored to have the network mulling whether to fire Barney as a result, but before it can do that, this drama has to finish playing out on TV.
Rovsek continued her assault, telling Shannon Beador that Tamra not only told Heather about the Beadors’ marital woes, she told E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E.
"When is this betrayal going to stop?" asked Beador. Short answer, if you believe Lizze Rovsek: Not very soon. Her co-star went on about Barney:
"She says you need an exorcism, that you have green Martians around your head. She makes fun of you … Vicki told me to be careful of Tamra."
Shannon was speechless, or as close to speechless as a member of The Real Housewives of Orange County cast could possibly be. Still. Wow.
While one never knows exactly what goes on in these situations, it appears Tamra’s behavior – lies, gossip, whatever you want to call it – is backfiring.
And HARD. It will be interesting to see if there’s any coming back from this after the way her relationships with the cast members have deteriorated.
Here’s hoping, but she clearly has to get her act together, because this is coming from a place of insecurity … or pain … or deep-seated unhappiness … something.
