Actor Lee Marshall, who gave Kellogg's mascot Tony the Tiger his voice and signature grrrrrrrrrreat Frosted Flakes tagline, has passed away, reports indicate.
He was 64.
He died of esophageal cancer at a California hospital, according to The AP.
Lee was the second actor to play the voice of Tony the Tiger, known for generations for his deep-voiced plug for the popular breakfast cereal.
He began playing Tony in 1999, filling in for the original, Thurl Ravenscroft.
When Ravenscroft passed away, the job was his full time. In addition to his gig as Tony the Tiger, voice actor Marshall also worked as a wrestling announcer.
