A nude Birtney Spears, deep into pregnancy? We’re not sure what Harper’s Bazaar was thinking with that one.

But the magazine does have a compelling interview in its August 22 issue with actress and hectic mother, Gwyneth Paltrow. The former lady friend of Brad Pitt opens up about losing weight from her pregnant days, along with an assortment of other topics.

The Oscar winner is now married to Coldplay singer, Chris Martin. The pair broke all records for naming celebrity babies when they christened their duo Apple and Moses.

“The first time, you are horrified,” says the 33-year-old star of the pounds one packs on while knocked up. “It’s all lovely when you are pregnant; but when you are not pregnant and you haven’t been for a couple months and you are still carrying tons of extra weight and everything’s all hanging and sagging, you think, ‘How is this ever going to go back?’ But it does – if you do a lot of working out.”

Paltrow says she gained approximately 40 pounds (or just a shade more than Kate Bosworth weighs) with each baby, dropping 20 by the time she’d get out of the hospital. But while the star is exercising, she’s not dieting, because she’s busy being a “milk machine” for Moses.

Gwyneth spends about about half her time living in London, but will be returning to the big screen this fall after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus from acting.

In Running with Scissors (in theaters this Octobe) she plays a spinster-type woman who lives at home with her crazy psychiatrist dad, played by Brian Cox. She also plays the wife of a rock star-turned-jingle writer in the upcoming The Good Night, brother Jake’s directorial debut.

Finally, Paltrow and has a cameo as a night club singer in Infamous, another film about the life of Truman Capote.
