Robert Pattinson Turns Down Testicle Shot in Cosmopolis
In On the Road, Kristen Stewart goes topless for a scene.
In Cosmopolis, unfortunately, her boyfriend will NOT go bottomless.
The actor broke this news to Metro France this week during his time in Cannes for that city's film festival, explaining how director David Cronenberg approached him five minutes before shooting and - referring to a specific shot - said:
"I want to see the bottom of your balls on the top of the frame."
Alas, the fantasies of women everywhere will not be coming true.
"I went back to see him and told him that wouldn't happen," Pattinson said. "He took it really well. At the start, it's a very bizarre scene that you won't see again in another movie, I promise."
Based on the Don DeLillo book of the same name, Cosmopolis features R. Patt as a billionaire who nearly loses everything (most notably his mind) in the span of one day. It's a very different, mature role for the star.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: Caught Kissing in Cannes!
Cannes. It's a place for film festivals and romance, both the nauseatingly contrived kind (Kim Kardashian and Kanye West) and the totally sweet and real and beautiful kind.
Isn't that right, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart?
This adorable couple was videotaped getting cuddly and kissy this week at an after-party in honor of On the Road, the Jack Kerouac book-based drama that stars Stewart, Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund. Watch the hot action for yourself in this video:
Stewart gets topless for a scene in the movie and recently said at a press conference that she was excited to take such a risk.
We have a feeling Pattinson went home on this night with the actress, though, and the two experienced a whole different kind of topless excitement. If you know what we mean!
Robert Pattinson Rumored for Role of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire
He already has one franchise under his belt. Might Robert Pattinson soon add another?
According to Movie Fanatic, the Twilight Saga star is under consideration for the role of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, the wildly anticipated sequel to The Hunger Games.
Finnick is described in Suzanne Collins' novel as a ridiculously handsome former champion of the competition at the center of the triology's story. He's muscular, tan and blonde-haired (doesn't exactly sound like R. Patt, does it?) and he harbored a troubled personal life.
The Pattinson rumored has gained momentum because Francis Lawrence will direct Catching Fire and he worked with Rob in Water For Elephants.
"As with the first film, we won't be confirming, denying or commenting on any casting rumors for this title," the studio said in a statement in response to this chatter. "We will announce news wide when there is official casting news to announce."
Until then... let's speculate! Who should portray Finnick?

Should Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Star in 50 Shades of Grey?
Would Kristen Stewart be up for starring in Fifty Shades of Grey?
She hasn't read it yet, but she's already dying to star in a new film with boyfriend Robert Pattinson, and it's loosely based on their characters, so ... maybe!
The sexy novel trilogy by EL James, recently acquired by Universal Studios in a movie deal, was inspired by Edward and Bella from the Twilight novels.
Knowing this, could she see herself and Rob in 50 Shades?
“I’m dying to make another movie with Rob, I think that we’re a good team,” Kristen said. “I think whatever it is needs to be so ridiculously ambitious."
"So maybe! I just haven’t read it, so I don’t know too much about what it is, but I've heard good things, and would love to work with him again.”
Kristen reiterated that she "doesn't know" when asked if she could picture herself and Rob playing Christian and Anastasia in 50 Shades of Grey.
You can see why the idea appeals to many fans, however - as does another faux vampire combo in The Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev.
In the book, Ana (based off of Bella) falls for Christian (based on Edward Cullen), a rich 27-year-old entrepreneur who introduces her into his erotic world of S&M.
What's your take? Would the Snow White and the Huntsman star be a good fit for the role? Vote for who you think should play both lead characters below:
Happy 26th Birthday, Robert Pattinson!
Try to keep the screams contained, readers, but get excited nonetheless: Robert Pattinson turns 26 today!!!
The actor is preparing for a very busy second half of 2012. He'll soon be seen like never before in the mysterious thriller Cosmopolis; and then there's a small release in November to which many fans are looking forward.
Breaking Dawn Part 2 or something? We think that's the title.
Robert, meanwhile, continues to quietly date Kristen Stewart, often seen out and about with the co-star, but rarely talking about the actress in public.
Yes, he's both a private man and someone seemingly comfortable in the spotlight. The guy is quite the looker, as well! Send in your birthday wishes to Robert Pattinson now and then click through this photo montage in his honor:
Robert Pattinson Talks Movie Roles, Testicles in Premiere
In his next movie, fans of Robert Pattinson will see this actor like never before. Seriously, watch this Cosmopolis trailer to see what we mean.
The same can be said, meanwhile, for shots of R. Patt in this month's special Cannes-based issue of Parade. Don't believe us? Feast your eyes on the following photos:
Pattinson tells the publication that working with director David Cronenberg has had a profound effect on his career.
“Filming Cosmopolis with David changed something in me." Rob says. "It gave me balls. I have five projects lined up right now that follow the path that movie opened for me. Before, I spent my time doubting myself. As soon as I read a script that I liked, I was working myself up, asking myself if I was good enough. Now, I tell myself: ‘F-ck it! If they want to hire you, go!”
And hire him they have: Pattinson has signed on to star in Mission: Blacklist as a soldier who helps bring down Suddam Hussein. It's based on a true story.
Cosmopolis, meanwhile, makes its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival later this month.
Robert Pattinson Signs on for Mission: Blacklist
With the smell of sex still be all over him - seriously, watch this Cosmopolis trailer - Robert Pattinson has signed on for a new film.
According to Deadline, the Twilight Saga hunk will anchor Mission: Blacklist, a drama based on a book by military interrogator Eric Maddox. It outlines the true story of the search for Saddam Hussein. Rather heavy stuff for the star.
Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire will direct.
“This movie is a gripping, edge of your seat thriller,” says Ross M. Dinerstein, Managing Partner of Preferred Content, the main production company behind the movie. “I have been inspired by Robert and Jean-Stéphane’s dedication to tell this story in the most authentic way possible."
This will be a busy year for Pattinson. Aside from Cosmopolis, he'll also appear in Bel Ami and conclude in November with a little flick called Breaking Dawn Part 2.
New Cosmopolis Trailer: I Smell Sex All Over You
Warning, Twihards: Robert Pattinson does not shimmer in his upcoming movie, Cosmopolis.
But he does cruise around Manhattan in a limousine, encountering various people along the way played by such major names as Paul Giamatti and Juliette Binoche.
An eccentric, intense millionaire named Eric Packer, Pattinson anchors the film, which is based on a novel by Don DeLillo and which is as significant a departure from the role of Edward Cullen we can imagine.
Following the release of a brief, 30-second Cosmopolis teaser last month, the first trailer for the drama has hit the Internet and it's worth a viewing for any Pattinson fan. How come? Consider the following line, uttered at the actor's character:
I smell sex all over you.
Bel Ami Movie Trailer: Seduction, Robert Pattinson Style!
Simply put, Robert Pattinson does not sparkle in Bel Ami. He seduces.
The Twilight Saga stud might frighten his fans a bit in the upcoming drama, in which he portrays Georges Duroy, an aspiring power player/former solder in late 19th century Paris who sleeps his way to the top of society by bedding wealthy women played by Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas.
We know, we know: how lucky are Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas?!?
The film opens in the U.S. on June 8. Following the earlier release of an international Bel Ami trailer, we now encourage fans to check out the domestic version:
Cosmopolis Trailer: Released, Intense
Robert Pattinson will return to the familiar role of Edward Cullen this November, as The Twilight Saga wraps up with Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Prior to that blockbuster's release, however, fans will get a look at this actor like they've truly never seen him before: lying naked in bed; shooting his own hand with a gun; acting like a 28-year old billionaire in Manhattan who is in for one seriously messed up day in the film Cosmopolis.
It's an intense starring role, one originally meant for Colin Farrell before he dropped out due to a scheduling conflict.
How well does Pattinson fill his handsome shoes? Watch the first official Cosmopolis trailer and keep an eye out for the movie U.S. release date. It hits theaters in France on May 23.
