Chad Johnson Threatened to KILL Evelyn Lozada, Alleged Friend Claims

Chad Johnson’s arrest for domestic battery is making headlines, but an alleged friend of his says it's not the first violent episode between them.

"Chad didn't like [Evelyn Lozada]'s party lifestyle and it made his anger worsen,” the source added. “He hated the way she acted on [Basketball Wives]."

"He would often lash out at her for any little thing."

The turmoil may have been a long time coming for Chad, whose subsequent release by the Miami Dolphins was even filmed for HBO's Hard Knocks.

Johnson’s pal says that Evelyn Lozada filing for divorce from Johnson just 41 days after they tied the knot does not come as a surprise.

"Chad and Evelyn's marriage was volatile in nature and a mistake from the start,” the friend said, adding that epic fights were almost the norm.

"He [Chad] went off the scale at her once because he was tired of having Evelyn's friends, like her assistant and stuff, living in his house."

The Johnsons' friend also says a group of pals close to the couple were beginning to get very concerned for Lozada’s safety and well-being.

"She told me Chad threatened to kill her one time and that was really a red flag," Radar Online (we know) quotes the insider as alleging.

"But only a small circle of her friends knew what was going on and it was very hard to convince her to get out of the situation."

On Thursday, details of Johnson’s alleged mistress surfaced after a Boston woman named Beverly Shiner claimed she slept with him. A lot.

Shiner says that Johnson had no trace of remorse for his cheating ways and made no effort to hide his affair, even after getting married.

Johnson was arrested last weekend after he and Lozada got into a nuclear spat over a receipt for condoms she discovered in their car.

The NFL star allegedly head-butted Lozada, leaving a gash on her forehead and leading to his release from the Miami Dolphins and VH1.

    She wil stop being angry...and she will be back with him...and he will still cheat..and she will get mad again..it will be a cycle..... then she will bring kids into this hotmess of a marriage..if he really loved you Evelyn he wouldn't cheat on you or harm you..love isn't suppose to hurt....keep it movin grl....

    WOW...I'm really surprised by some of these comments. Yes, she is violent on Basketball Wives, but this is done with other women. That is not meant to be an excuse, but the fact is that a man will most of the time be stronger than a woman. I said most of the time because there are exceptions. Look at it this way...a child who is abused by their parents don't abuse the parents back because the know the parents are stronger, intead they go and abuse other kids because they are on their level. No man should put their hands on a woman. They have the power to walk away and that is what they should do. Sure, Evelyn needs help for her anger and I hope she gets it, but Chad is a football player who is clearly stronger than her physically. Everyone has issues...

    while some of the comments about Evelyn are true, Jennifer asked to be hit, Evelyn was right for over reacting (oh well maybe she did act wrong)I think not only did she marry chad, chad married her. they both get what they deserved.

    Evilyn got exactly what she deserved! Why was it ok for Jennifer to get slapped and she thought she should drop the charges? And I don't believe Chad head butted her but the other way around, afterall it was witnessed on national tv how she hit Jennifer with her purse. Evilyn is a violent nasty crazy BITCH! And Chad what were you thinking marrying that fucked Tamis husband then became her BFF and then fucking her the FIRST NIGHT you met her??? I hope you get tested for aids!
