Bristol Palin on Dancing With the Stars Finals Run: "I'm Comfortable"

by at .

Bristol Palin was as shocked as anyone that she made the Dancing with the Stars finals, but that doesn't mean she feels she's undeserving of her spot.

"I'm thrilled! It hasn't fully sunk in for me," she told Us Weekly after Tuesday's results show. "I know we're in the finals, but it doesn't seem real yet."

She knows that her final-three status is controversial, especially after this week's elimination of Brandy, but Bristol said she's not hurt by the skeptics.

Could Bristol Palin actually WIN Dancing With the Stars?

"I know I've worked hard to get where I am," she said. "I definitely feel like I'm the most improved dancer on this show, so I'm comfortable with that."

Her pro partner Mark Ballas added that DWTS has a long history of "shocking" results, citing Sabrina Bryan, Joanna Krupa, Jennie Garth and Mel B.

Still, her moves are so mediocre, it's even harder to take her seriously on the dance floor than in the Bristol Palin-Situation PSA. What do you think?

Does Bristol Palin deserve to be in the finals?

I admire the courage and insults that ignorant people throw at Bristol and week after week she amazes me, technically, she has not made a mistake, never over-reacted and never thrown tantrums unlike others and that is the main reason Bristol gets my VOTE!! Love her!!!

Some stars might have more experience dancing than others, but none of them have this kind of experience. You either can dance or you can't. And Bristol can not dance! Even her best dance was bad. It's painful to watch her, so I'm done watching the show.

If it were a dance contest, Florence Henderson wouldn't have been there either. It is ultimately about entertainment, with fan participation. If she wins, she deserves it as much as anyone.. and yes, Maks should have bit his tongue. In previous years, I've voted for the professional because I didn't like the stars. This season had a better group of contestants. I hate the drama queens, behind the scenes fights, etc. is a turn off. The times I have watched, it appears Bristol and Mark are respectful of each other, and I find it refreshing. The women are more whiney than the men, and a reason I think men have won more than women in the past, until they appears to stack the deck with women dancers/athletes.

Bristol reminds me of the anchor at a small community TV station where I once worked. Her news reporting was just as poor as Bristol's dancing. Everyone praised my reporting skills and said I looked much prettier than she did. But her father was the station owner's friend. That's life! The less talented but better connected always seem to win.

You know, Jennifer is a very good dancer but she has dance experience. This show continues to put stars on there with such a wide range of experience. Or course the ones with past dancing history will win.... they always do. Bristol is the only one still on the show that hasn't had any dance experience. Bristol is doing very well considering. I am more apt to vote for someone coming with no experience than those with. Kudos to Mark Ballas for teaching her. Derrick has had it very easy compared to Mark. Again, Jennifer is very good, and she'll win. Can't we just look at Bristol as a person with no experience who has come this far and be proud. Very proud of you Bristol.
