Stephen Colbert has a few things he would like to say about the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states last Friday.
And each thing is totally hilarious!
In a video posted to his official The Late Show with Stephen Colbert YouTube page, the comedian tries to temper enthusiasm a bit over this historic ruling by pointing out a potential downside.
“Not everyone's celebrating," Colbert jokes in the footage, citing “gays with commitment issues” who would like to wait to “talk about this” until they “get home from work.”
He also says that he initially turned on the TV and thought the country had "legalized rainbows," adding:
"History moves fast. It’s hard to believe that gay Americans achieved full, Constitutional personhood just five years after corporations did."
